Iím a little surprised that Wimmer and Bruno Indi whom were coveted last summer are not mentioned.... I canít believe Wimmer has been relegated to Stokeís under-23s!

Because he’s the most valuable, and one we have no chance of getting (nicky summed it up.)

Apparently Shaqiri has a 14.5 million relegation release clause. Justified doubts over his attitude and work rate, but IF Roy was capable of getting him working hard, that's an absolute bargain.

He would if in early season form but we have to watch the height in the side and so it depends on who else is still here.

He's a very good player when he can be arsed and would put pressure on Wilf and Andros.

Even better that we do not consider not very good or even crappy or shitty players who helped their clubs be relegated. Football manager has a lot to answer for ......except that is unless we had got relegated!

We need a right back to match PVA, so Cedric Soares

Better than what we've got.

He's only 26 so whomever signs him gets him at his peak. During yesterday's game the commentator on the radio (Steve Mclaren) kept on about Shaqiri not giving any support to his right back which was allowing PVA to push forward. I think Hodgson told PVA to do this more in the second half. Its probably no co incidence that both of our goals came from that side despite Lambert trying to fix it with a back 3. So work rate is certainly an issue.

That said RLC isn't exactly an asset in defence either. Who would we rather see at Selhurst next season if we had a choice of RLC or Shaqiri? I'd go for Shaqiri (especially at that price) 8 goals and 6 assists in 35 games for an awful Stoke team. Imagine him Townsend and Zaha in the same team. With Sorloth, Benteke and Wickam in the squad we wouldn't need another forward either, especially with Roy's no CF tactics working well at times.

Aaron Mooy should be an affordable upgrade on Cabaye. He's not always shone this season, but he would look at home in our side and would improve with better players around him.

Andre Ayew could be excellent up front alongside Wilf, if we're playing the same 4-4-2 next season.

Cedric, Bertrand and Redmond would all improve us, but I don't see any of them coming to Palace.

My issue with Shaqiri is that I don't see him mixing well with our squad, particularly those two.

Tbh he gives me the creeps. Weird looking guy.

Ryan Bertrand will go to a big team. Probably City. All the big clubs like to have 4 good full backs and City could have Walker & Danilo with Mendy & Bertrand.

Stoke - Allen
West Brom - Rodriguez or Phillips
Southampton - Redmond
Swansea - J. Ayew
Huddersfield - Mooy

One player from each - Depending on who goes down.

Southampton - Nathan Redmond or Tadic
Stoke - Jack Butland
WBA - Phillips or Livermore
Huddersfield - Nobody worth taking.
Swansea - Fabianski
