Looking forward to The Cure. Firstly because I loved them in my formative years and still think they made some of the best popular music ever, and secondly because I am gleefully curious to see what sort of hot mess Robert Smith looks like nowadays.

Standing round? Swaying? That's kind of how you would watch music in a field over the course of a day? Pop something and the front rows may do a bit of jumping depending on the type of music.

I go to a lot of gigs and I would say apart from one ot two, I geenrally stand and listen to the music without obviously bouncing along. But dont take it as a sign of not giving a shit.

Since the late 1990's Glastonbury was @r5e-fvcked by Mean Fiddler, and it really really sucks. It's now absolute bvll5hlt, and people are buying into this 5hlt.

I hark back to earlier years, where the Welsh would arrive and 5hlt all over every toilet seat, thus making them unusable for the weekend.

This posh-fest now has toilet cleaners. That is wrong at any festival. Hold your 5hlt for 3 days, else go home.

AND David Attenborough. Please, how much bvll5hlt can a crowd take ? Oh yeah, save the planet,....lets all drive to Glastonbury in our BMW's,........
Getting to the first services out of Somerset for the biggest dump of your life was always a joy.

Walking through the alternative festival felt like armaggaden had arrived and climbing the iron fence always a challenge. Different times.

What are you expecting?
3 day of solid sun. People baking in a field and you expect everyone to be moshing?

Hes 60 now. Jesus, makes you feel old. Are these band member the original? If so, lucky to all have their hair and more importantly, to still be around given one assumes their lifestyle over the last 40 years.

During Kylie’s set they showed a guy crowd surfing on an inflatable pink flamingo/swan.

Also, no one seems bothered about fans holding up smoke flares amongst the crowd....one rule for music fans but a different one for football fans?

Only Robert from the original, unless Lol is going to guest again. Simon Gallup joined them in the early days when Michael Dempsey left.

Three songs in, all pretty much the same tempo. Not sure they're a crowd lifting finale for a festival. They very much have their own crowd, and this isn't it really.

Such a distinctive voice. Not great technically, but suits the music perfectly.

Interesting how similar the bass is played compared to Hooky.

I think thy will build it up to a crescendo with some of the early 80's tunes towards the end before the encore. Its a good lineup. Apart from the older guitarist (Bowie associate)they all have 20 years or more as Cure members. Gallup dates from 1979!!
