Li, who specialises in London properties worth up to 4m, concurs with the notion that Brexit is helping to accelerate the boom in interest in the UK: Some of my clients at the beginning of the year, they said: OK Victor, lets wait, wait, wait. And then, after they found out about Brexit and [the] sterling came down more than 10%, I got more calls they want to go back into the market. Its lots of saving, he says with a grin.

Poor R-80s, his reason for Brexit has turned out to be entirely spurious

Leavers remind me of Custer and his famous quote 'There are not enough Indians in the world to defeat the Seventh Cavalry'.

Along with the Captain of the Titanic with 'What ******* iceberg?'

Brexit will reduce bureaucracy and red tape for British businesses.

"Businesses would be hit with an annual 15bn bill for filling in customs forms for trade between the UK and the EU in the event of a no-deal Brexit, according to a British government paper published on Monday.*

Companies in the UK and EU would face a significant new and ongoing administrative burden if Britain were to crash out of the bloc, the assessment by HM Revenue & Customs warned."

Some gems on this thread.

It would be unfair to single them out... most of these posters have been bullied off by remainders telling the truth.

Only if the impact is somehow only limited to the property market. Granted maybe for some (those with sufficient excess capital) but you'd expect to see a loss in value of sterling leading to rising prices and inflation and banks are unlikely to lend money for mortgages against a falling housing market without a much larger deposit.

Likely as not houses will become cheaper, but harder to buy as the cost of living will increase faster than house prices fall, due to the loss in value on the pound increasing the cost of imported every day goods.

Of course if the EU migration drops off, it will also smash ten shades out of the Rental Market, and the dumped property will likely set off a chain reaction that will hit the housing market.

The problem here is that large amounts of future planned investment is tied up in property and the property market...
