I’m definitely not his target market as I’m not a huge fan of grime. The only two songs I knew were the Ed Sheeran cover and Blinded by my grace which has a great choir chorus. Having said that I watched the lot and found it entertaining and he comes across like a good bloke that’s done well.

He certainly is an intelligent guy. This came across to me from the first interviews I saw, and in some of his work.

Also, if the internet talk can be trusted, he has 14 GCSEs including six at A*.

I think heís going to have a great career and can see him having an influence beyond music.

Not my type of music at all although having two teenage daughters who are well into grime and such, I am beginning to get my head round it a little bit.

I wanted to watch Stormzy last night to educate myself further. Like the music or not he is obviously incredibly talented. I was glad the BBC we able to tell me when a different song had started though.....

I lasted about 40 minutes then I’d had enough. Fair play to the geezer though.

I knew Mark Collins years before he joined the Charlatans, when he was with a band called The Waltones. Really lovely guy.

The issue I've always had with The Cure is that they tend to be a bit ploddy. No real fireworks moments for me. The set will pick itself. They come on, be The Cure, and shuffle off again. I'm not convinced that's headline festival stuff. But that's just me.

That's a good description, I saw the cure in the late 80's and was very underwhelmed, I kinda went off them after that.

Which is a shame, because they were a pretty dynamic band in the early days as a three-piece.

Yeah I know what you mean. But I watch bands for their musical ability and sound not for their Ďshowí as such. And theyíre all about 90

They were. I know Mark Collins, as well, he really is a lovely bloke. So is Tim Burgess, despite the fashion sense.
