All things being equal I would give Camarasa a chance over Meyer, but MM is our player and Camarasa on loan, so things are not equal

I'm a Roy fan but I agree that it's disappointing he seems to have no interest in using Camarasa.

Can’t comment on VC as I’ve hardly seen anything of him and Roy has so have to give him the be benefit of the doubt there.

Our team just lacks creativity and any manager worth his salt will be able to stop us.

It is the shambolic state of the transfer “policy” that is the problem. A complete failure to address the lack of striker and full back options for over a year, and then buying up any cheap looking midfielders, regardless of whether RH wants the players in question.

It is a miracle we survive, but this luck will run out unless the issue is addressed. I don’t see such a mess in the transfer field anywhere else, apart from possibly Newcastle.

The buck stops with the unusually quiet Steve Parish.

Yep you’re right those goals against Leicester at home and Liverpool away eh . He’s conservative because he has to be imo, HIS JOB is to keep us in the PL with absolutely zero support from the board( not just Parish as some seem to think) and Freedman .

We'll stay up but my god the lack of creativity is frustrating.
If Hodgson thinks they are good enough, like Loftus Cheek, he will play them, if he doesn't he won't.

He knows what he wants and if Camarasa provides it in training he will play him. If he provides it on the pitch he will keep him in the team.

He used to play Townsend every game, and Townsend had an outstanding first 2/3rds of last season. But his game dropped off and suddenly this favourite of Roy's is no longer first choice.

Look at Meyer he was outstanding pre-season and rightly started. He was OK against Everton so stayed in the team. He was absolutely awful at Sheffield Utd and rightly dropped.

He doesn't have the sublime skills of Wilf, but Schlupp is a threat - he will burst past people like no other player we have and is one of the few who can shoot and finish. Maybe we should back him and respect that the manager actually knows what he is doing.

When Camarasa is up to speed with the team and shows his skills can improve us, Hodgson will play him. If he doesn't he won't.

Not sure how healthy a state the club would be left in if Hodgson were to leave and had complete control over transfers previously. We'd be filled with hard working industrious types with no creativity, 28 to 33 years old. Always a season or two away from nosediving due to player performance declining with age.

Great post AJ, schlupp put in some great crosses vs villa ( my last game) as we played with balance which is always key with a small squad.

The only thing I can fault Roy re camerasa and meyer is he should have took a look beforehand and said he didn’t want them.

I don’t think we’d improve by forcing either into Roy’s set up
