Looks like trains are running hourly on the 28th from Waterloo/Clapham junction. Is this much different to normal schedule? Don’t really want to be standing with my son all the way.

On a normal Saturday, South Western would run 2 direct trains per hour, plus another one with a change at Basingstoke. On 28/12 they're running just one direct train per hour, plus one with a change at Basingstoke. Could make quite a difference - difficult to guess really what it'll be like. One option to consider would be boarding at Waterloo rather than Clapham Junction to get a better choice of seats.

3,300 allocation - nice effort. And well done to the box office for taking the full allocation.
Did anyone get tickets off the Waiting list? First time I've been on the waiting list but don't have ticket this close to matchday, and normally there aren't two bank holidays in the way!

So after you get back to car, just a few mins and you are back on M27 and not long after that you are back on M3 heading home.
That's what I used to do until last time when we hit nightmare traffic after leaving the M27 on the way down. Train for me this time.

Northam or itchen stand? Both quite rowdy (compared to the rest of the ground anyway)

Driving down from SE London so can give a lift to folk to/from the Croydon (ish) area if near enough, for a split of petrol costs. (Even split of about a tenner either way)

The planner has now been updated.

“Fast trains” on seven past the hour and the slower trains are 43 past the hour from cj.

Word of warning to anyone who booked advanced tickets, double check the planner as the trains I had booked for are now not running.
