Brilliant vision and passing for someone his age.

Very impressive performance. He just seems to have so much time and awareness.

Do we have an uncut diamond here? No pressure then.

No, he's just signed for Bromley

I take it he is a midfielder?

Woosie can confirm I'm sure. He's an attacking midfielder with lots of vision for his age.

Stood out at Bromley midweek and looked good again today. With more strength and experience, he should be a good prospect. Would be good to see an academy player break through to the first team again.

I thought he was pick of the youngsters yesterday. So confident. Hope gets a decent club on loan.

Lovely pass for Anderson's goal against Fulham. Not sure how old he is, but from the stands he has the look of a 16 year old who has just gone through a growth spurt and is getting the hang of his new, longer legs.
A bit of extra muscle on him and he looks a decent prospect. Perhaps a loan to Championship club later this year or next season? |

I can see the benefits of loaning our youngsters out and the signings from lower league/non league sides but have any actually come back to us and made it? Surely they would improve more staying at their parent club training with the 1st team squad and with a place on the bench and playing in cup games.

Getting experience on loan at League football is better than playing for the development side, its just that none have been good enough to breqk through yet so it seems like a bad system. To me it shows we have decent youngsters if they are getting games at that level. 10 years ago our players were going to non-league clubs on loan.
Fair enough if hey got on the bench yea that would be better better it is unlikely when you have 25 seniors to keep happy. Last edited by Wayne Andrews is God; 07-08-2016 at 05:19 PM. |

It's been a long time since any player (youth or new transfer) has caught my eye and it was good to see especially as he is youth. I am not getting carried away and he did lose the ball a few times, but I could see vision in his movement and passing. I say keep him around at the club and use him sparenly this season and see what happens, I think that would be better than having him going out on loan in a lower division where he won't benefit from seeing and experiencing quality football.

Until last season it was rare that any of our young players went on loan, so there's no real comparison to be had between keeping them in the U21s/with added bonus of training with the first team or sending them on loan.
For our young players, I think it's absolutely the right decision to loan them out. I anticipate Dreher will be in the U21s but training with the first team until January, probably travelling with the squad a few times. Then in January will go out on loan.

A tall fair haired box to box midfielder with good vision yet quite feisty and the number 8 on his shirt. Anyone else reminded of Geoff Thomas?
