This season Chelsea will be ok to keep loaning him out but from the season next season he will have to be registered as a senior player or loaned out.

Further to that you can only loan 6 over 22s internationally and I believe the same domestically. So for Chelsea and clubs that also do this. They will have to start using or selling players at around the age of 22. They had a whopping 37 odd out on loan previously which was one of the reasons for the rule changes.

Training ground and infrastructure was better. Before we built ours I advocated buying theirs would have been a double whammy .

Crystal Palace are set to face stiff competition in their attempts to sign Chelsea starlet Conor Gallagher this summer, with 12 clubs vying for his signature.

Leeds United, Fulham, Southampton and the Eagles are just a few of the clubs keen on taking the Blues youngster on loan.

The 20-year-old has impressed on loan in the Championship this season, with stints at Charlton and Swansea City over the 2019/20 campaign.

However, it is likely that Gallagher is set for another loan spell, with the preferred option being a Premier League club.

football.london understands that the Blues want their former Academy Player of the Year to head to a team in the top flight who plays in a similar style as Chelsea, which could make a move to Selhurst Park trickier.

It had been reported that Gallagher could also head to the Bundesliga for next season, but football.london understands that is not going to happen.

Palace and Leeds have also eyed up a permanent deal or loan deal with an option to buy, however Chelsea do not want to sell the midfielder.

Gallagher netted six times and picked up two assists during his time at Charlton, before making the switch to Swansea in January, adding another six assists to his tally.

The midfielder was a key player in helping the Swans reach the Championship play-off semi-final, eventually losing to Brentford.

Getting a spot in the Chelsea first team next season could be tough for Gallagher, with the Blues already recruiting strongly.

Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech have already been brought in, while the Blues are working hard to sign Kai Havertz.

However, there is still uncertainty around the long-term futures of Jorginho and Ross Barkley.

Palace have previously loaned Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Michy Batshuayi from the Blues, and are keen on making a move for Gallagher.

I recall Lampard saying when Gallagher moved from Charlton to Swansea that he wanted him to play for a team that passes and have plenty of movement

Chelsea are to hold talks over a new contract for highly-rated Conor Gallagher amid interest from Premier League clubs.

The 20-year-old, whose current deal runs until 2022, impressed on loan at Swansea City last season.

Gallagher is wanted by Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, Leeds United and Aston Villa among others.

The energetic midfielder moved to Wales in January after spending the first half of the season at Charlton.

Gallagher played 19 times to help Steve Cooper’s men finish 6th and set up a play-off semi against Brentford.

But despite winning the first leg 1-0, Swansea collapsed at Griffin Park to lose 3-2 on aggregate.

A number of Premier League sides have asked to be kept informed as well as most of the Championship.

Chelsea are understood to be leaning towards sending him out on another loan rather than selling at this stage.

Palace, meanwhile, are ready to agree a new contract extension with midfielder James McArthur, 32

Just seen this - no idea how true it is but his Mum is my hairdresser. He still lives at home atm so we would be an easy commute but I suspect that will be way down the list of priorities when making a decision.

So you mean you haven't already booked a hair appointment just to ask his mum if he's interested in signing for us?!

I have seen him a few times , he is energetic , but not sure he is ready to be a starter for us and i would imagine Chelsea would stipulate he needs plenty of game time .

He should be a starter for us. Depends on whether we want anyone in the middle to do more than tackle and pass sideways.

Look, we won't get him. Lampard has indicated he wants the player to go to an outfit with a pass-and-move set up and the years of regimented, neanderthal football we've played makes us a very unattractive destination for anyone who wants to play progressively. Coming to us would stymie his development, just like it's done for every striker who came here. This set up is for wingers to shine and everyone else is about stopping goals.

Not that near and actually now I think about it Beckenham is not the easiest of journeys from here - I was just getting excited that he was not in North London or elsewhere. We are a lot nearer than most of the other candidates though.

Sadly I've just had my hair cut so can't go in for another one yet. We chat about football quite a lot (I think I'm one of the few customers interested) but nothing recently and anyway what's said at the hairdressers stays at the hairdressers.

If we are loaning, would prefer Hudson-Odoi. He’s out of favour and they have Werner, Ziyech, Pulisic, Mount, Giroud and Abraham for their front 3 already. He could be made available towards the end of the window, you never know.

Also, if we are buying, why not just bid 40m + hefty sell on/buy back clause for CHO? He’s the real deal. Gallagher is a good player. CHO is going to be a great player. That’s the difference.
