Neither Janet nor I have (as far as we know) had it, but our son may do at the moment. We are, therefore, in family self-isolation.

Partly because the ‘high risk’ people I know are just refusing to take it seriously.
I have asthma, only started suffering from it 5 years or so ago, bloody ridiculous.

It comes from an allergy to dust mites, I often therefore wake up with a 'tight chest' and slightly restricted breathing. Moreover if I have had a bottle of wine the night before I may have a bit of a headache.

All completely regular, but now of course, it is impossible not to wonder, if but for a second, whether it is the first signs...

I think almost everyone has a heightened awareness to everyday symptoms right now, don't beat yourself up over it. In fact it may even be a good thing if it leads to extra caution in people's behaviour

Yeah, everyone’s the same. I’m really worried about a friend of mine who’s by herself, she’s a worrier at the best of times and has been bombarding me with texts about how scary it is. She’s 30 but has bad asthma so has decided that if she gets it she’ll get really sick which probably isn’t true but you can’t comfort someone saying that because nobody knows.

Luckily I haven’t woken up with a cough so think I’m probably ok.

Next door neighbour and next door but one both laid up in bed with the symptoms this week so even in Middle England it is all around us.

The worst thing, I think, is the feeling that loved ones might get it and I can’t go see them. My Dad has a cough but is adamant it’s nothing to do with Corona. Hopefully right. But they’re self isolating and not taking any visits - rightly.

My in-laws took a very different approach but are eventually getting the message.

I’ve still got a tickly throat but I’ve had it for almost a week and it’s never really developed into anything else. So in a way I genuinely hope I’ve got it because it’s clearly very mild if I do. I don’t think so, though.

Just got back from a walk around CP Park. Loads of people are out but all seem to be taking the distance thing seriously. A neighbour thinks she has it, she is B.A. Cabin crew.

God I miss the pub.

I have had a sore and tickly throat for 14 days a few achy days.

The odd thing and I have read this on here too it was preceded with itchy eyes and nose I declared I must have hayfever for the first time in 50 odd years.. but the next day it was gone.

I’m off and I’m isolation for 7 days with symptoms. Not a complete surprise considering my work. Feeling up and down and mainly wanting a good cry.

I work in a residential setting with teenage boys, so am around a lot of people all the time. They are really difficult to keep a 2 meter distance from!

Iím just tired and achy right now. Hot and then cold.

Had a week off sick in middle of February. Lots of symptoms of Covid. Temprature went up a few times but came straight down with paracetamol. Had one night when I woke up next day covered in sweat and did feel very tough for a couple of days. Was diagnosed over the phone by Dr as a severe throat virus but no covid. However I work at Heathrow and was dealing with people arriving from wuhan for a good couple of weeks after this kicked off and subsequently other flights from China and Milan. Lots of us at work feel the same that perhaps it was Covid. Funny thing is as Dr said just a virus there was no isolation but no one I know of who I encountered at this time has come down with it and no spike in cases around my way.

I read this thread with interest and wish the best of health to those who have symptoms.

My interest ? I currently work at our major airport attempting to protect the border armed with nothing more than a bottle of sanitiser. I’ve seen colleagues dropping like flies yet we are still landing flights from so called hot zones without any medical intervention. If you’ve come across the terminal 4 video that’s circulating you’ll have an idea.

As airports are closing around the world the UK is still open and still seen as the golden ticket. What a good time to travel to the Uk with very limited time on your visa knowing you can’t get a return flight

I apologise for the mini rant but I think I’ve been sent over the edge by a sister in law who claimed two days ago she had been diagnosed (if anyone was going to get it it was her if you know what I mean) and 10 minutes ago she announced she’d recovered and had been the virus ffs

Anyway, once again speedy recovery to those who are suffering
