Source of that rumour seems to be SportShitness.

Contract expires in the Summer so a bump in wages would be enticing for him but the amount of top level European teams in for him is quite ridiculous. Even more so that he would then decide to go to Mexico.

Napoli, AC Milan, West Ham, Palace & Leicester.

If, he were go to Mexico it would be seen as the biggest signing in that league one newspaper saying that "his arrival would be only the 8th World Cup winning player to play in the Country, the first under 30 and the first from Europe. Not since Ronaldinho signing at the age of 34 to Querétaro has a bigger name come to Mexico"

Weren't we linked a few years ago with a French striker who chose a move to Mexico? Gignac? Same move from Marseille to Tigres.

Yeah André-Pierre Gignac, in the 15/16 Summer transfer window - the season where we signed Yohan, Wickham, Alex McCarthy, Sako, Adebayor and signed Bamford on loan...

Tigers gave him a lucrative 5 year deal. I doubt we were prepared to make that long term of a commitment to a 28 year old.
