You are a broken 'record cr. If this had been a protester at a Labour meeting your views would be entirely different. You would be celebrating and applauding it . Please don't bother denying it either .

I was sort of joking earlier but in my opinion of course, there is absolutely zero chance that he would have done that if the protestor was an average-sized man.

He did clock her as well just before making his hero move.

That slow hand clap at the end is a thing of true bollock-shrivelling *****ness as well.

He doesn't 'pass her' at all - pretty much ignores the woman who comes over and continues to frogmarch the protester out of the hall. There is nothing in that video to suggest he in any way felt threatened - he simply thought she shouldn't be allowed to protest and used force to prevent her from doing so.

Basically he f**ked up. Granted, its not as bad as everyone is making out, like its domestic violence or indicative of how women are treated in society - but he was out of order. over reacted and now faces the consequences of his actions (as she may do hers).
It can be both, he has no more than a second to decide what to do not mull it over to decide the best course of action.

If they were trespassing and burst into a room in an airport, full of Government officials, I wonder if that would be entirely the reaction? I daresay she wouldn't have 1)attempted it 2) hoping a sore neck was the worst she received and I also wager she wouldn't have made it as far as she did when in that room.

I assumed that the hand clap was for the action out of shot. The security detail were preparing to run & then throw the protester from the tower.

It's really rather complex with quite a lot of grey areas, which is why the Police usually don't get involved outside of 'observing' to ensure no offences are committed.

My understanding though is for example, pubs are considered to have an implied right of access to the public. However, if they are then told to leave, and choose not too, force is then justified in order to remove said person/people from the property. Common law would be what covers the use of force.

The civil part is where it gets confusing in cases such as squatters/travellers entering a space, the Police usually advise against using force against them in order to remove them despite the owner having the right to re-enter, one because it's potentially dangerous and also they can commit offences in doing so, therefore the advice is usually to go through court and get warrants etc.

The situation we're talking about sort of changes due to the perceived threat of the trespasser, therefore he's pretty well covered by reasonable use of force under the CLA and Common Law if he was to argue it.

He doesn't need to feel personally threatened, he can feel 'threatened' on somebody elses behalf and take action too.

Not at all. Was totally out of order that old bloke that was thrown out of a conference under Blair. Also I had no issues with those protestors outside corbyns house.

Field was loving it. Man handling her breast and neck. Typical Tory pervert.

He says that he acted instinctivelly. That's not quite true. We're confronted with 'potentially' threatening situations every day, the vast majority are not actually threatening - but dare we wait to find out? We make a judgement. He must have noticed that she wasn't a guest but a protester. How did he know this? When he made that judgement did he fail to make a judgement on her potential threat? I don't think it was as 'instinctive' as he makes out.

In terms of tresspassing - if she had been invited would it then have been ok for her to walk up to the podium to protest? Or to heckle from her seat? Would force have been unacceptable then? Is the lack of an invitation alone sufficient to justify any response? That would be very convenient for those in power. Do we need an invitation to protest against the Chancellor of our country? How else do we gain an audience?
What are you on about?
