Our last run in 2016 meant so much as it was 21 years since we had got to the semis and 26 years since the final.

That it's Watford again is a perfect opportunity as Wilf will feel like he owes them and it will be a cracking cup tie..

Now after Hen's recent boob, there can be no doubt who starts this one

RH is stubborn and conservative. Watford are obviously favourites but it is winnable. Need AWB in for Joel and play our strongest team. Won't happen though

Watford facing similar choice. Gomes cup goalie or Foster league goalie.

We're 3 games from winning the first trophy in our history. Anything other than a full strength team now is simply a disgusting thought.

No excuses not to go 100% full strength.

Hennessey is dogshit and Ward was poor on Saturday (and had a shocker last season at Vicarage Road). Don't let them be the reason we miss out on another trip to Wembley please Roy.

Exactly this.

Surely Hodgson wants to have one grand final bow before he calls it a day?

The bottom line is - who is the better goalie? The decision at this stage shouldn't be based on keeping anyone 'happy'. So, for me it is an easy decision - it has to be Guaita.

If Roy wants to give people minutes on the pitch then Hennessey (and Dann, Ward etc) can play in the next league match - at home to Huddersfield

Guaita for me but, from what Hodgson said after the Doncaster game, it will be Hennessey. However, if we played the rest of our first XI with Hennessey in goal I'm not sure we would suffer that much. But the fact that we beat Spurs with a reserve central defence (and right back) may mean Roy sticks with them at Watford.

We also beat Spurs with Speroni in goal - So Hen on the bench.

If Watford play Gomes and we play Speroni - that must be the oldest combined ages for the goalkeepers !

Ward has brilliant against Spurs and decent v Donny.- this is an anti Hennessey / Hodgson thread - leave Wardy out of it

In all honesty, both have played well this season. Hennessey has made a few mistakes but no where near as many as before. I wouldnít really mind who plays in goal for the next round

I don't know why anyone would pick Hennessey over Guaita for any game, let along a quarter final!

If Guaita had one arm hanging off, then maybe but even that would only be a maybe.

This is a much bigger issue than the keeper one for me.

If we start Joel Ward in this game I think we lose. Their wide players will tear him to pieces.

Need AWB for his athleticism and pace.

Hennessey isn't dogshit ( as you call him ) . Ward had dodgy 10 minutes then had a very decent game . Is Hennessey better than Guaita - probably not . Is Ward better than AWB - no .
Just do not understand this hate against Hennessey . Constructive criticism yes but why such gutter comments . I prefer Guaita but he was at fault for penalty against West Ham , dithered and nearly gave Vardy a goal against Leicester and isn't great at high crosses , luckily he isn't getting abuse on here .
