I still think that a full LH reset, where it is made clear that this is in anticipation of the implementation of safe standing in the next season or so would be the simplest way forward - kill two birds with one stone and avoid the need for compensation packages for those of us in E block. But given the performance of the club over the singing section implementation, I sadly expect a similar hamfisted approach when (if) they ever get around to dealing with safe standing. |

Again, before things get out of hand with whole lower tier resets and what not the club would have to do a full survey on current/potential fans:
1. Currently in the LH and want to be in the safe standing area 2. Currently in the LH and do not want to be in the safe standing area 3. Not in the LH and want to be in the safe standing 4. Not in the LH and do not want to be in the safe standing area I assume, that enough interest would be gathered to get the whole lower tier changed but, you do not want to spend the money and half arse the results.

Agreed. I don't particularly want to find myself in the middle of the HF but I have no problem at all with standing. I wouldn't be surprised if many existing LH season ticket owners are in the same boat.

We’ve got bigger problems then getting rail seating installed.

The problem remains that the government may impose certain restrictions when they finally give the go ahead to safe standing. A figure of 10% of capacity has been floated which would mean we couldn't convert the whole of the LH.

There's no legislation stopping people putting these in, you just can't legally call it a "standing area" That's why Spurs will open their new stadium like this: Wolves are set to do it in the summer, allegedly in big numbers. Last edited by les aigles; 29-01-2019 at 10:28 PM. |

You're a bit of an idiot aren't you? Politicians don't look at issues like this from a practical point of view, they will correlate the "increase in hooliganism" with standing/terracing, just like they did after Hillsborough. Not only that but the police will do the same and give this "intelligence" to the politicians involved.

Sports Minister has just made a speech in the Commons mentioning standing and recent increases in racism, in the same breath.

Andre Marriner was definitely standing when he first booked and then sent Wilf off

Presumably the Transport Minister will be making a similar announcement about racists standing on public transport.

The seating at Spurs in Block 118 was a case of too many seats in the space provided as there is insufficient leg-room in between the rows of seating and your knees touch the metal rail behind the seat when seated.
This seems to me a case of increasing capacity to the detriment of supporter comfort by fitting in extra rows of seating. I have been in contact with the FSA regarding this issue and await their response as this area was where Palace's non-wheelchair disabled fans were located. |

This would have interested me more years back but too old for it now. Certainly not against the idea though but that wasnt an option in the poll

I don't get it. I also think this would have made the moving of the HF and possible 'reset' of the Lower Holmesdale so much easier.
