Hope Dreher can overcome all of these injuries as would hate to see another potentially promising career ruined at such a young age as happened to Douglas Wright.
On plus side, Woosie has pointed out to me that Doug is still at Palace being Asst coach to U14s and Analyst for U18s. |

Afew clubs were sniffing around Hungbo so this is good news that we dont lose him to some EPP bullshit or what ever it’s called.

Yes but may be returning to a Kent based club (he's from that area). Nice lad. Was a bit unfair to bring him into the first-team squad as the 3rd keeper from time to time and take him on tour then drop him in the 18s. Must have been hard to cope with

Does anyone know how the scholarship contracts work e.g. do they all go until they're 18 then either go professional or get released, or are they similar to pro contracts for a set length?

You will know best I guess having more detail but from a distance it must have been a great opportunity/experience for him. At that stage of his development he was very unlikely to stay in the frame unless he was going to be a top, top keeper surely? So going back was always inevitable and it would only have been unfair if if they didn't make that very clear to him at the start. Even then it would be tough but he would have experience and incentives that few get plus an outside opportunity to blow them all away with his potential as AWB has done.

The scholarships last for two seasons and then they either go pro or get released. I can't recall how much they usually earn though. Daly got a big bonus for getting on the bench apparently. Speaking of Daly - anyone hoping to see him in the first-team for pre-season will be disappointed to learn that he has travelled to Belgium with the U23s. Quote:
He kept a clean sheet for Dartford's first-team against Millwall after playing 45 minutes at the weekend.

So has anything happened/happening re the academy plans.
I found an interesting letter written to Bromley Council in late 2016 on their website about the councils consultation on their Draft Local plan for housing. It was regarding the RBS ground. Makes for potentially very interesting reading.

I've been told that Nathaniel Pinney played a trial game for Welling at Whytleafe last night. He could have played higher than Non League if he'd wanted it enough IMHO.

Victor Fundi played for Eastbourne Borough last night on trial and scored as a second-half substitute.
U18s are down in Bath for pre-season at the moment, they won 5-0 against Exeter (U18s I assume) today. They beat a Bromley team 1-0 in their first game (again, U18s I think, maybe U23s)
