Great to see the big man back. I think he’s been under-used.

According to Bet365;
Cheikhou Kouyaté at Old Trafford: 5 tackles - more than anyone on the pitch 100% tackles completed 1 interception 1 clearance More completed passes than any Palace player Not dribbled past |

He seemed quite pacy... if Ward gets injured... I wonder if he could fill in at RB.

Personally I think we might not have been rolled over by Brighton at home last season with him in our team.

Showed Luka and Mcarthur how it's done, they've both looked poor recently so hopefully with him back in the team the midfield will look more solid.

The spine of Cahill, Kouyate and Ayew should stay in place for the Villa game.

Always rated Kouyate, no idea why he hasn’t played more.

Are the same people who are moaning about his passing unable or unwilling to criticise Luka for poor passing? Haven’t seen yesterday’s game yet but Luka is a major problem for us in terms of ball retention. Hasn’t been the same since Cabaye left.

He did play quite a lot last season but agree. I generally prefer to have him in the team. A lot of competition in that midfield now though.
Even Luka shouldn't be guaranteed of his place anymore. |

He's positionally good as well. One game at SP last season I remember him being really good at dropping in to defence to cover the spaces if other players got pulled out position. |

As for Kouyate, hoping he continues to start. |

I think Miliviojevic is overrated. I like him alot but he does go missing and make simple mistakes, maybe it's time to give Kouyate a chance in his position.

But he does have a good mentality and a but of bite. With Wilf in the team we also need someone who is good at penalties so although the number of penalties we win may make him look a better player than he is - it is still a vital skill to have. Particularly when your team lacks creativity and goals from other routes. |

Yep, impressive. Just wish he was a bit better at shooting and passing, but then I guess he wouldn’t be playing for us. Strong, fast, great tackler and ball carrier.
