Certainly not - always set yourself targets & challenges.
But do 'listen' to your body - if it feels tired or aches don't do the session planned or do a bit less.

2.8pm according to RunKeeper tonight. Looks pretty accurate from the map. Very happy with that. Slightly faster pace and had enough left at the end for a decent par increase on the final interval.

Road. Really got the running bug at the minute

Did 7.5k earlier in 30:17 so can proved I sustain that 5k pace for longer...

Did 14 miles today in about 1hr 40. Pleased with that and trainings going well. The top of my left foot has started to ache. Just about where the laces are but they are not too tight. Has anyone got any ideas what it is and how to sort it out. Its not stopped me running or effected it too much but its becoming a nuisance.

F25-Im no expert but I think that this may be brought on by either a sore navicular bone, tendinopathy of the extensor tendons or pain in the midtarsal joint folling an ankle injury. I think that your best option is to rest for at least 2 days and see how it reacts. The fact that it is an ache rather than acute pain is good. This could all be brought on by overuse or poor footplant. A tight anterior tibialis can also provide an ache as it pulls on the connection point. This is the muscle that runs from the knee down the shin. You can self massage this to see if it helps ease the ache. If it persists I would advise seeing a physio or podiatrist. GOOD LUCK.

25km done today in 2:20. First run since having the wisdom tooth out and it's still uncomfortable so just kept the pace at one where I didn't need to gulp in any cold morning air.

20 miles today in 2hr40m. First time I'd run that far so last 2 miles were pretty tough on the legs but fitness wise I felt fine. I can now see why it's recommended you run 4-5 20+mile runs as part of marathon training!

My kidneys started aching after 14 miles, does anyone know if that is because of dehydration? I had a couple of gels but no water during the run.

I did Brighton Half Marathon this morning. All very last minute - I agreed to do it last week guiding a blind runner expecting to plod round in around 2:15 but he pulled out on Wednesday so I decided to still run solo. I was in two minds whether to treat it as a training run or go for it and despite not having trained specifically I treated it as my own race.
I finished in 1.40:16 - a minute and 7 seconds slower than my PB but pretty happy with that anyway.

I spotted two Palace shirts on the course today - were they anyone here?

I would think so. The gels really make you thirsty and need water with them. Have you tried them before? How hydrated were you before your run? I prefer to use the body fuel instead of the gels. It does exactly the same but I prefer it in liquid form.

Mile reps this morning. Did six at 7.50, with 90-sec recoveries, holding the pace around the Chipstead lanes. Preparing for my first half-marathon, the Croydon half in six weeks. I want to break 2 hours, so looking OK IMO

Ran 10k this morning in 52 mins, very pleased with myself. I think that's the fastest I've ever done 10k outside organized events. I will be using the Greenwich 10k in 2 weeks as training and then hoping to demolish my pb of 48.40 at darent valley.

Goot time as216and Kemper. Doing really well.
Used the gels before but when cycling so always had water handy. I drank a bottle of Lucozade Sport before the run so was reasonably hydrated and in need of a pee for the whole run, then of course as soon as I finish the run no longer in need of a pee. Am going to give those body fuel type products a go next time, I did read somewhere they're designed to not need water in addition to the gel.

I find gels need water. Thats why i prefer the body fuels and they are easier to get. Tend to stick to those and not water before race to avoid needing wee and will have those and jelly beans in race. Find it to be the best combination.

Dusted off the cobwebs with just under 3 miles yesterday morning. Felt good to be back out.

Walking like I have shit myself today though as muscles are like bricks!

Back out Wednesday night but have a wrist op next weekend so likely they will tell me to knock it on the head for a few weeks after
