Feeder 1998 at the Astoria. Had really wanted to see the support - Everclear - and had school the next day so needed to head off and get home.

Bill Haley and the Comets. Must have been about 1978 at either The Rainbow or the Hammersmith Odeon. We had to leave early to get the train home. I did get to hear Rock Around The Clock though. Support act were the Flying Saucers who were excellent.

I saw the Troggs in The Cartoon in Croydon, late eighties or very early nineties, they were okay, not bad but not mind blowing either.

There was a woman in the crowd who kept shouting out for Wild Thing in the break between songs, after a few goes Reg Presley seemed to get fed up with it so he said to her "Excuse me missus, when you **** do you prefer to come straight away or would you rather build up to it gradually? That's why we tend to play that one towards the end of the set."

Shame you didn't see the Charlatans. Great band live.

Lead singer Tim Burgess's favourite band is New Order, so you could have badgered him all night for a cover of Blue Monday

I walk my dog around the Melbourne Cricket Ground most days and its always interesting when something is going on. Anyway, huge gig, 'Guns n Roses', so, was walking me dog , laughing with all the stoned people, and was offered two sets of tickets from two separate people , including front row seats($800!!). People were coming out half way through saying how awful it was....dont think the opening "Hello Sydney" comment went down too well lol!

I was there. Hadn't been to a concert since they played at Calder Park way back when. Went to that one mainly to see Skid Row.

Axl was very ordinary this time around.

Duran Duran, around 2006. I lasted 15 minutes, and that was 15 minutes too long.
Utter shlte.

the Meteors at Santa Pod Bug Jam in late 1980's. The band leapt off stage to start a fight with someone in the crowd after 10 minutes. Ambulances and all that stuff, and we went back to our tents

I walked out of "The Firm" because i decided I'd rather just be drinking, and I also walked out of The Drifters because they were a pallid imitation of what I was expecting. At Glastonbury in 1990 I got fed up with the Hothouse Flowers very quickly because they were just so poor.

Otherwise I've stuck through thick and thin amid loads of noise.

I saw Viv Stanshall from the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band in the Cartoon. Don't remember anything about the band at all, except him saying, "stop crowding to my panda" and me thinking that was hilarious.

Might have been just a tad off my trolley.

Taking Back Sunday when they headlined the UK leg of Taste of Chaos about 12 years ago. Guitarist was absent due to a broken arm and the signer had a sore throat. Made it dreadful.

I was at that gig. Was the best/worst/most tense gig I've ever been to. After two songs he had a barny with Martina Topley Bird and brought on a new singer. Martina stood at the side of the stage, fuming. Tricky seemed pretty stoned. It was painful viewing, people were booing, but I was fixated by the whole experience... I seem to remember that most of the audience ended up on the stage by the end. It was actually great to see such anarchy and chaos at the corporate soulless 02 (Indigo).
