Pokemon Go. What's the point?

Ok, I can see why kids might want to play this, but the number of (so-called) grown adults playing it baffles the hell out of me. Some of the shit I've seen on Facebook and Twitter from otherwise perfectly rational people going batshit crazy because they've just found some rare creature outside the local supermarket is absolutely mental.

It does not happen often, and actually makes me question my own judgement, but you might have a bloody good point.

This entire phenomenon is beyond bizarre really and almost like a form of mass hysteria.

Someone posted on YouTube the other day that there were about 300 people in a park trying to catch a charizard. Surely that's the point, no?
