How did a small-town team like Bournemouth end up with two decent strikers when Palace don't seem to have got any at all? I thought Ayew was rubbish last season, if Sorloth is the answer then wtf is the question, and Benteke, we've said all there is to say. Whickham? One day maybe ....

A seious lack of movement. A striker shouldnt be 30 yatds from goal when we get a cross . One time the ball flashed and he wasnt even in the box. Another we got to the byline, our man looks up nothing. nobody anywhere near the box. Benteke has missed a lot but he usually gets in there. Ayuz hardly ever arrives

Didn’t Ayew get a few guys goals for Swansea last season? How did he get them? He doesn’t seem too pacy or good in the air....

True, but Frazier Campbell was/is a genuine centre forward. Ayew, one the other hand, isn't (admittedly, I thought he did play cf from time to time, but I think I was confused with his brother).

I agree with the previous poster that complained about imaginary card waving and going down too easily, but I think it's fair to say that he's working very hard for the team, but is probably conscious that he hasn't been able to add too much thus far and has resorted to underhand tactics, which we'd all rather not see.

You only need to take a look at his highlights videos to see that he's best at robbing the ball from deep and carrying it up field - strangely, this is something we've been lacking this season imo. He'd do the same job as Townsend, but think he'd get more goals.

Townsend Milivojevic Meyer Ayew
Wilf
Benteke

Judge him after a few games in something closer to his best position with a more balanced team and focal point up front. Hopefully Townsend, Luka and Wilf will be on back their game too.

Can we not swap Ayew and Zaha round? Or play Meyer and Zaha upfront?

Ayew worked hard against Wolves but Zaha's flair further up the pitch would have served us a lot better.

Ironically his last two performances for us have been his best, and Roy has subbed him off at key moments in the game.

Vs Bournemouth for Sorloth who gave away a needless free kick which led to the penalty incident and then on Saturday, when a goal down, Roy takes him off for Kouyate resulting in another change in system that didnt work.
