Cheers Woosie. Indeed more 23's need broader experience particularly Wood and a few promising strikers.

Aside from Daly, the only striker we have in the 23s is first-year scholar Rob Street who isn't ready to go out on loan yet.

Woods, Tavares, O'Dwyer, McGregor all need to go out on loan.

Thanks, maybe at the end of the season. Rob Street is decent but just starting a professional career, the club manage his developement. I have faith in Richard Shaw.

I really don't see the point of loaning out Nya, only for him to stay on Blackpool's bench every match.
Should only let the youngsters go out if they're going to play.

Especially as the the distance to Blackpool means he can't still play u23 games. Just have to hope he manages to fight his way into the side I suppose.

Blackpool have taken 7 points in 3 games since he went there on loan. Rightly he isn't going to go into that team. I'm sure if he is good enough, right attitude etc he will get his chance.

Being on the bench is closer than he is at Palace. It’s not just about playing games but going to a new environment and a new project, he will learn. He will need to prove to the staff he is worthy of minutes, new challenges do people good. If he never plays a minute after 6 months then fair enough but he has only been there 3 weeks.

Young players need game time and lower leagues to build them up.

Alex Ferguson used to do that with his youth players like Beckham etc to give them the experience they needed.

Unless you are AWB

Also, out of the real stars who came through that youth system (Scholes, Giggs, Neville x 2, Butt, Beckham) only Beckham ever went on loan prior to making the first team.

I have not followed Kirby's progress since joining Blackpool, but if he has not made a start to date then his loan to them is a total waste, however in fairness to them is his fitness at the required level to be starting? maybe that is the reason.
I hope Palace are actually monitoring this situation, if not then possibly a loan even if that be a local National league team like Sutton or even Bromley would be far more benefical.

It's been 3 weeks, too much expectation that he should just walk into the side.

It's better he is training and having to work his way into a League One, rather than a National League side. A decent project for the young lad...

Know struggled to get into championship sides or excel in any way out on loan.

Football doesn’t work that way

If he's on the bench it means he's a match day squad player which is a hell of a lot more than he'd get here. He's training in mens football day in day out and away from home so he's getting that experience too. It's down to Nya and possibly injuries/fatigue of other players whether he can get on the pitch.

If he needs some "man company" he did not need to go to Blackpool for that did he nearly a month later to still be sitting on the bench at a not very good Div1 club cant be doing him any favours. There was no news of any injuries prior to his loan deal, and as i said he would have been better off staying local and playing for Bromley or Sutton instead.
He is a very talented player and at 19yrs old needs regular playing time otherwise it makes this loan pointless.

Blackpool are on fire, so not sure why you say very poor team. Give it time, if he is good enough he will be given the chance at some stage
