I agree about Shelvey as i am a fan, also he would be a perfect foil for Luka in central midfield. But we all know he has other issues which can be disruptive to a club like ourselves, however if he could control that side of his game then he would be perfect for us. I feel if we were to sell AT that would leave us needing a Winger and being realistic as to what we can afford, then Matt Ritchie for the wing play he offers would be ideal and could also help Benteke score goals? from his accurate crosses.
Why not just offer AT in a deal towards getting Both Shelvey and Ritchie would make sense and hope Roy can tame Shelvey.

Townsend perhaps escapes criticism, but would be within the first 18 of all almost all clubs outside the Top 6.

Whether his performance have warranted his place every week is a very different discussion to swap him for Matt Ritchie, who will be 30 next season (3 years older than AT).

As for Billing, I think he is seriously underrated by our fanbase. As for the attitude queries, can't fault a player who doesn't want to play in the Championship next season having been a key part of their promotion and survival. Infact I would be more worried about his own ambitions and belief in his own game if he was happy to continue playing in the worst side in the league, spending 90 minutes doing donkey work with little to no chance of a result each week.

Not to mention his wages won't be anywhere near the level of a lot of other top midfielders, nor Shelvey for that matter.

Wilf has been 4/10 losing the ball all the time with a 5-6 game goal run and the occasional good game. Townsend has been 5/10 most games with the occasional Man City game

I think Billing would be a good addition from the little I have seen/ heard about him.
