Not sure who he'll start in front of at Stoke.

To be fair, he wouldn't be guaranteed starter here either, so he's probably chosen the club with more of a top flight pedigree. Which, if so, screams to me that he doesn't have the bottle when the chips are down. Admittedly he'd have a much better chance of first team football here, though.

Stoke being linked with Jack Grealish, doubt they would buy both.

Why not, they are terrific young attacking midfielders who would provide squad depth.

Indeed, as I said both attacking midfielders.

Arnauotovic won't be there next year. He only has one year left and won't sign a new deal. If he has a decent Euro's and I fancy Austria to be the surprise package in the tournament then I can see him being signed by a bigger team.

Stoke fans seem to see FB, CB and CF as the positions most in need on strengthening. |

I agree that a Norwich bench player is not some top class amazing player, but then that just shows how little I rate Wilf.

Not enough performances like the Brighton play off game & unless he can repeat that more often he'll never be the top class player a lot ion here like to think he is & if he was then he'd be off to Man City for £50 mil! |

I dont think it was in any doubt to me. As far as performances over the season were concerned, a consistent high level for the most part, he was easily ahead of the others. Of course, his end product could be better, but you could say that about Punch, Yannick, Gayle, Wickham or any of our forward player. Does Redmond have an 'end product'? 3 assists all season (to Zaha's 1) would suggest there isnt a massive gulf there between attacking stats and Wilf definately improved the defensive side of his game. Im not one who thinks Zaha is perfect but the notion that Redmond is any better there is no real substance behind. Quote:
Though as said to SC, I dont think even his biggest fan would deny his final ball needs to be better.

But 9 times out of 10 this season he was aiming at a static Wickham, not arsed Adebayor, or Campbell who....missed. Get a decent striker this summer and Zaha will get 10+ assists. |

Question is are we even in for Redmond? Or haven't we reached the player purchase part of the season yet?

Would have had Cabaye, McArthur and Dann ahead of wilf myself. An attacking player PotY in a team that scored the 3rd fewest goals in the league last year.
Redmond would offer a good alternative option but not be groundbreaking. I think Townsend puts real pressure on Wilf and Yannicks places in the starting line up though. |

Fair point - he worked well when Murray was moving around in the box all the time/timing his runs into the box to perfection - as did Bolasie. Reminds me of Salako's improvement with Wright and Bright constantly telling home where and when to get the ball into the box. I do think we need a more mobile experienced centre forward who will demand that the ball is played in more quickly.
