This one is looking more difficult to get a ticket for than Bournemouth away on a Saturday!

Been there a few times and giving it a miss this time.

Those who get tickets are in for a treat!

I’m on 9200 or so, normally puts me in the top bracket, but worried about a ticket for this game!

Yes and you'd imagine a fair amount of them have a huge amount of points being at most away games since 2010ish in some capacity.

I do around 7-10 away games a season along with ST and some club shop spends and imagine I'll be top tier with 9500 points.

A ticket stub from the last Luton away should be instant qualification.

I'm guessing that there about 430 away season ticket holders. Then you've got player and coaching staff allocation too...

I'd be surprised if there isn't a big overlap between those people and the away ST holder list.

Got to include the new away st holders who were allowed to get on scheme apparently you didn't need to have x amount of pp just pay 30 quid.few fans will miss out on this game ,time aw st holders players owners sponsors ambassadors have had first dibs won't be many left .be fans who haven't missed game for a few years unable to go to this one think if I wanted to go to every away game I would have signed up for aw st when it become apparent you could buy your way up the pecking order .

Not really a fair way for the club to do this without getting criticism. There has to be a recency element to the tickets. If we keep just building up points forever then we will be like a pensioners away day and young fans won’t get a chance to go to new grounds. (Okay I know some dads and grandads with lots of points buy the ticket for junior to use).

I’m not sure how they’ll manage this to give everyone a fair crack at some of the more prestigious tickets….I’d be annoyed if they refreshed the system completely as I’ve not missed a league game home or away since covid and only 2 cup games!
But I agree something needs to change

This is correct. Had to be over a certain number of points I believe. They corrected the error.

As I understand it, the only ones that were cancelled were those bought by people who didn't even have a home season ticket. Not sure though.

If you haven’t missed any games since Covid, why would you be annoyed if they refreshed it to make it more recency based then?

I agree the system need to be updated.

Perhaps a system that includes all the points, but recent ones are weighted more heavily.

I would personally split Box Office and Retail Points.

Whatever you buy in a shop or on a concourse can get you x amount off as and when you use it. 10p per £1 or similar.

I would also weight away tickets based on location and time of match. So a Tuesday Night away at Newcastle for example is worth more than insert London club at 3pm on a Saturday.

Finally the club need to be more active in getting tickets to fans who might not have points quicker. And get that done sooner!

Get a list together that tells you how likely it is you'll get a ticket. How many people would have gone to Villa if they knew they could have got a ticket two weeks beforehand?

We seem to the process of sorting out tickets so incredibly difficult.

I don't think that would solve anything other than maybe capturing some lapsed fans who have stopped attending. But the club should be aware of that already.

I would say a rolling 5 year points system with a max. amount any one person can hit.

And get a blinking list together of what away game criteria are going to be in advance so people can plan!

Because now they’ve moved the ticketing to the new system they can no longer access the old one! That’s what the box office told me when I questioned my boys points

You should still have your loyalty points at the end of last season plus whatever you've got from this season.

You might not have been getting updates but that is absolutely 100% incorrect what you've been told there and if I were you I'd be chasing it up sharpish.

I think what they're saying is that points totals were carried over from the old system, but they no longer have any record of how those totals were accumulated. So if you think your carried-over points total is incorrect and you query it, they no longer have access to the old system to check any details.
