Old Naval College, Greenwich what a fooking wonderful venue. Has to be one of the best outdoor venues, a bit like Somerset House but bigger and with lawns. Groove Armada were superb, great sound too. A top night had by all.

Looks great!
Anyone go Van Morrison at Roundhouse last night? Read mixed reviews and trying to decide if it's even worth going now!

It's my birthday and I'm off to see Neil Young and Bob Dylan from the Gold Circle at Hyde Park. Excited is an understatement.

Two gigs in three days in September at the Bush Hall.
First, the excellent Mark Mulcahy, singer from Miracle Legion. Then two days later, Pere Ubu. Lovely. Killing Joke at Subterania in August. Last edited by Stellavista; 12-07-2019 at 04:36 PM. |

Got tickets to The Murder Capital at Brighton Haunt in October, I'm tempted to see them in Guildford on Tuesday if the wife hasn't got any plans for me.

Wives always have plans. It's just that they don't tell you until the point it's going to cause you maximum inconvenience.

Neil Young was incredible. Loved it. I had gold circle and it was so busy when the acts came on I could sneak through into Diamond and was pretty much front row with 80,000 people behind me.
Bob Dylan was as expected. Croaky but still nice to see a legend live.

Love a BJM gig but these days I shun the London one and catch 'em at Concorde2, Brighton by the beach. It just works. Nice post!

The Specials last night in Coventry rolled back the years. Shame my feet can't this morning. Just brilliant.

Saw Black Midi last night at Mad Cool festival. They were brilliant, mind blowing. Sharon van Etten was great as well.

Saw The National on Saturday, who were as great as ever. A lot off the new album, but a shorter set than you'd normally get so would expect a few more older ones.
Went to Citadel yesterday: DMA's - why? Friendly Fires - Brilliant. Bastille - fair play to them. Not for me, but did an ok show.
