That scene was actually quite funny, I worried for his hip.

I enjoyed the film but when you read about the actual sequence of events you realise there was a fair bit of artistic license used in the film. I also didn’t think much of the nationalistic caricatures of the Ferrari team or Christian Bale’s Brummie accent.

First Blood is a superb film...that gets forgotten due to the dross that followed.

Despite being a great film, that scene was laughable.
Very good ageing cgi for the faces but the budget obviously didn't stretch to the bodies.

It's obviously a really well made movie, with an intricate plot and some great performances, but for me it seemed to plod along, and when you take into account the running time, it didn't hold my attention enough to be a classic, for me at least. Not a patch on Goodfellas imo.

To compare it to Godfellas, solely because its a Scorcese movie is a bit daft. The same thing happened with Casino.

Not really, they're both Scorsese movies in the gangster genre, nothing daft about comparing them at all. I also think Casino is a much better movie fwiw.

I watched this recently.
A horribly grim grind of a film.
Never again to be watched/10.

Ford v Ferrari. Superb.

Not sure about the 4D seats though, whoever programmed them missed Vehicle dynamics 101.

I saw this a week or so ago. I'd say it definitely won't be for everyone! Very brutal in places, but I thought the violence was necessary to explain the need for vengance. Won't watch it again in a hurry though. 7/10

Watched Rambo Last Blood and agree with everything Aki said. Hilarious stuff.

The Irishman was superb, the cgi didnt bother me whatsoever and I just concentrated on the acting and the story, both of which were fantastic. Pesci and Pacino stood out for me and there was ome great dialogue throughout. Gets a 99/100 from me.

Watched Knives Out - a sort of Agatha Christie whodunnit with a solid dose of humour and a stellar cast. Daniel Craig's Louisiana accent is very ropey but his acting is very good, as is Ana de Armas, who plays the female lead, and everyone else. Starts slowly but is builds speed, is great to look at and perfectly scored. 6 out of 7.

Ad Astra.

It starts really well, the first hour is great. But then it just descends into completely ridiculous farcical shit for the second hour. I mean I know that fiction is meant to have creative license - but this is fantasy very poorly dressed up as near-reality.

It's as if someone took Apocalypse Now and tried to put it in space then got fed up with the effort after about 5 minutes so gave it to their 10 year old to finish off.

Christ I'm so glad that is over. What a load of crap. Thanks god I never paid for it, and got paid for watching it.

I liked it, 8/10. Well acted, looked great, arty, superb music (soundtrack is fantastic). It was unrealistic at times, but with it set 150 years from now, it might yet be a realistic representation of the future. Who know, but it was fantasy fiction after all.
