I like Hackney Empire.
Good venue. Couple of decent boozers. No harder to get home than any other venue. Short bus ride down to London BRidge then the train.

Going to this but will miss most of the JIM Jones set due to Thameslink cancelling the last train home.

Saw Earth Wind & Fire on Friday. Not really my sort of music but Mrs. Jonboy wanted to go. I actually quite enjoyed it. They are very talented musicians and put on a good show. Great horn section too.

All the seats are good at QEH. It's an intimate venue.

Saw an event last night at Bush Hall called the Blues Chronicles.
Excellent artists charting evolution of the music, including a 60's British section. Top night, classic blues choons

Saw UNKLE at Fabric last night - it was advertised as a one off audiovisual show but it was basically just James Lavelle and another bloke DJing on top of some scaffolding that had flashing lights underneath, it was OK but nothing I haven't seen him do several times in the past (just a normal DJ set from the booth would have been better, IMHO)
