Tommy Tynan? He was a very good lower league striker.

I seem to remember Paul Gallagher, the Preston midfielder, score a series of screamers against us for numerous clubs.

We never seemed to get near Koumas alright. Didn't Palace nick then rewrite his pigbag song for Andy Johnson?

Yes. Koumas scored - they sang it. The AJ scored, so we sung it back at them and it stuck.

Nugent always did well against us. I'm surprised that there wasn't a push from the fans to make a bid for him at some point.

He always scored screamers against us for Leicester. My son is scared of him & he's only 9 - he's just watched too many end of season DVDs........

My memory is he was never as good as when he was at millwall, but then I was watching him at millwall in the 3rd division, playing for us, despite it being a poor palace team would’ve been a step up to the 2nd division

There was 3 lifeline signings wasn’t there? Tony Mahoney possibly one of the others??

Tony Mahoney was pre-Lifeline.

Pretty sure Mark Bright, Geoff Thomas and Neil Redfearn were LifeLine signings.

Palace were seemingly linked with Koumas every transfer window until it transpired he was too scared of London.

I think its all down to the commentators. When they say "So-and-so hasn't scored in the last 3 seasons & its his first appearance as a sub this season" you just KNOW he'll score with his first touch or within 2 mins of coming on. Are we jinxed or something? It happens so much.
The B'stard Andre Gray may have scored recently but he was a case in point just like week for the Hacking Hornets.

I’m sure you’re right, I was just guessing.
When you think what we’ve spent and what we’re paying players now, it’s hard to believe something like lifeline was even a thing

He tore us apart in the 3-3 draw at Selhurst, although I don't ever remember him reaching that level when he played for us - but, as you say, we had a shit team at the time.
