Dann is a better player than Kelly, if they both play to their best

Both have had poor games recently, as well as good ones

Kelly was very poor against Watford, and wouldn't have started had Dan. Not fallen ill

Old school.
This is what I'd like to see. Without Sakho, we are always going to play it long which makes one of Benteke/Wickham a useful pick. Batshuayi is the only goalscoring striker we have and the fact it's Huddersfield means we don't have to pack the midfield, so two up front with two battlers in CM makes sense to me.

Me too, and perfect logic. If you play Schlupp then Roy can also play his preferred 4-3-3 with Batshuayi close to Benteke and Zaha wide, but would prefer we just went to 4-4-2 obviously.

Would like to see the following

AWB - Dann - Tomkins - PVA

Wilf---Kouyate--Luka----Schlupp

----Wickham----Michy-----

I have 0 confidence that Benteke is better or will cause more of a threat than Wickham. As for Townsend, not sure he really is creating enough to justify a place, him and Benteke as a double sub, perhaps with Meyer or Jimmy too iff need, could give us more impact if needed

And the point of having a decent subs bench is what exactly?

With you all the way on Benteke but are Hennessey /Guaita that bad that you'd play without a keeper

Untouchables for me are back 5 Luka wilf Townsend and bats.
The only discussion centres around the use of shlupp Meyer macca and cheik for the remaining 2 starting places.
Yes
Guiata v hen
Kelly v dann
Why would Roy trust tekkers on his time at the club.

We don't need a radical shake up just simply need to take our chances..............and put in a shift!

For balance my preference is meyer and shlupp for this game

Whatever side he picks it has to be different to the usual sh*t that Hodgson serves up at home. It’s about being bold and proactive for a change. I’d go two up front and two wingers - none of this boring four midfielders nonsense.

Huddersfield are a strong physical side and will know that without Sakho we are vulnerable at back . Also I expect a lot of crosses as they will be aware that Guaita struggles on high balls into the box .

I seem to remember that they did exactly that at their place this season and we let them. Primarily from PVA’s side. If they had a striker that could actually head a ball we’d have been in trouble.

Staggered at so many people selecting Benteke.

Have you not been paying attention?

Even if he was in anything resembling good form, Benteke and Batshuayi makes no sense as a front two. They both want to play in the same areas, but Bashuayi knows what to do with the space. Big Ben just gets in the way.

Better off with Ayew alongside Batshuayi as a supporting striker to do the running and create the space.

I’m not sure this is true. Benteke’s problem over the last 2 years is that he avoids making the runs that will give him a strike on goal (he runs to the back post rather than to the front post) and, with him as the only striker, crosses get cut out. Batshuayi does make those runs so I think the two would work well together, particularly as we could also cross aerially into the box more for Benteke to attack or knock down for Batshuayi.
