What I love about Partridge is Coogan makes him work in any situation. The fish out of water trope is such a basic element of comedy and when it's done as well as Coogan does with Partridge, its untouchable. From sports reporter to talk show host to standard sitcom star to fly-on-the-wall web shows to faux documentaries/interviews to film star to half tea time fluff show, half behind the scenes mockumentary type show, he's nailed it every time.

Partridge is the comedy character that just keeps on giving laughs.

Didn’t think it was great last night. It’s become a bit meh for me now. Still some laughs but a tad boring

Was hoping for a bit more after the last episode, but whilst solid, I didn't find it as good as that 4th episode.

I enjoyed last night's more than episode 4. It was a less frantic episode, but it has so much nuanced Partridge in there. Sometimes it's just Coogan's facial expressions that do everything. The 'fuel in the turbo' scene is a great example of that.

I really enjoyed it. The mother-in-law jokes sketch and the co-anchors reaction to them had me in stitches

Still laughing at the thought of Alan's report on swearing.

Really pathetic - but when he incorrectly said tashhag instead of hashtag when discussing the Me Too movement & sexism in general, I was cracking up.

I finally got round to watching all of them and really enjoyed it.
I'm surprised he still gets funding to make more partridge because it's a bit self indulgent. Maybe there's more partridge fans than we think. |

Now that some time has passed and I can reflect on the 2019 series, I think the biggest impact for me is that I now wash my hands for the full 20 seconds.
