As a poster with only one username I still think he isn’t doing enough to rebalance the economy beyond financial services, is too focused on protecting house prices and is not doing enough to move top public sector jobs away from London.
Needs to think beyond London, Manchester and Scotland and focus on the poorest communities like in Blackpool, Hull, the Welsh Valleys, Teeside and Clacton. Help the young get on the housing ladder, invest in vocational training and improve pensions for low paid private sector workers. The Starmer and Libs could do that at least as easily if their parties change direction as well.

WCB posting the photo reminded me of the protein chap who was a familiar face to those of us who worked in the area (Rathbone Street and Sheraton Street) in the 70s. There's also a Dennis Dunstable lookalike from Please Sir! (the slow witted one) in the photo. |

There are at least two different council chambers saaath of the river where she has been caught with a chicken dog in her railings. Ima sort of in two minds between wanting to avoid charge of misogyny and wanting lurid details of her past to come out.

South Wales seems to be ticking along nicely at the moment. The Valley's line must have been open for a decade now. The toll is now gone from the Severn Crossing resulting in house building going through the roof in the area surrounding Newport. Everyone commutes out at the moment, but eventually it might lead to decent jobs in Newport, which will hopefully feed up the Valleys. Decent transport links up the east coast from London to Teeside via Hull would be helpful. Along with better east/west routes. |

I think what you mean is that when you saw the pictures (plural) that RoB posted, that exactly what you thought. So well done. You spotted RoB's very humorous intent ![]() |

One wonders whether this was a withdrawal agreement he actually complied with.

Johnson aggressively slagging China today for "not complying with its obligations" under an international treaty for Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, he is pushing through multiple breaches of international treaties himself. That does not make what China may be doing OK, but he, and now the UK as a result, has no credibility whatsoever to be criticising anyone else at the moment Forget the Brexit benefits list, is there anything at all that could legitimately be put on a Johnson benefits list? (benefits for us, not him) |

China couldn’t give a crap about what Johnson does or does not do regarding the withdrawal agreeemnt.

Indeed, he is an irrelevance to them. And to Putin. And to many others. Sadly we are still stuck with him. But the latest Tory sex sleaze will probably push Johnson's China rant off most of the front pages today anyway.
