Even in such a great World Cup I think that cheating shitc*nt Neymar and the overrated Brazil getting knocked out early than last time is possibly the best part so far

I mean, just look at a range of the videos depicting violence in France and you can see that it was a significantly higher number than 20 Russians involved.
There's no denying that Russian football has a large pool of thugs/hooligans capable and likely very willing to perpetrate violence against rival nation's fans. There is plenty of documented evidence of this. That's obviously not to say that all Russians are violent thugs or whatever it is you're worried about, however the fact that there have been no incidents by this criminal element clearly points to very strong deterrents being in place beforehand. |

However many it’s not like the English hooligans, who were many more, have put anyone off watching football in this country. If there was a World Cup here, would you expect people to be scared to come and see their team? Should they?

England sold the tenth highest number of tickets for the tournament. It's normally 5th or 6th in sales. The difference with tournaments in France or Germany is less numbers of casual fans attending, which to be honest, isn't a bad thing. I contemplated going for a few days but the cost of the flights then internal travel just seems too much cost and effort.
