Anyone Actually Going To The World Cup?
Wondered how many Palace fans would be out there.

Given the way the world is at the moment, particularly after France and what has happened with Russia since I think there is propensity for engineered trouble merely to drag England's name through the mud. Hope I am wrong but not a risk I'm willing to take.

Yep. Going to the Panama game and hope to get to a knock-out if we get through.
A hint of trepadation and don't expect it to be like previous world cups with all the Eng-ger-land brigade. But getting more excited about the adventure I am sure it will be. Just hope Putin orders their well-trained hooligan army to keep quiet.

Around 15K Aussies have gone...... I wonder if they will run into trouble. Got quite a few of my Melbourne Victory mates are over there. They aren't expecting any.

I will be at England v Belgium with 3 other Palace fans. If England stun us all and get to the final I will be there too. Outside chance I might go to an England QF.

I'll be in st Petersburg next weekend for 48hrs, just after the Belgium game, if we are still in it one of the days issue likely to be a rest day. I keep having this recurring dream that I bump into Ruben and his girlfriend around one of the palaces sightseeing and beg him to sign for us thus changing the course of palace history!

It was absolutely fantastic out in Kaliningrad. Just hope I get back out to Russia soon, because if I do it will mean England have got to the final. Fingers crossed!

In one of the World Cups (can't remember which) the Sun signed up some lad who wrote one of the first hoolie books. Much to the disgust of the Fleet Street mob who were all armed with English C.S.E's, he was issued with a temporary press union card. His job was to report on all the riots caused by the England crew He was completely ostracized by the media fraternity, so he spent his time roving around with the England so called hard cases. There was no trouble at all, but he had the editor calling up, screaming at him why he never reported all the back street skirmishes that are occurring. Told them because there hadn't been any. Within a week, his month contract was cancelled.
