Trippier
Seriously! This guy has come so far from his Burnley days in the Championship. My favourite England player for years! His crossing is absolutely deadly. Hugely instrumental for us.

Thought he was younger than 27. Really, really good player....and quite likeable too.

Trippier had Zaha in his pocket when he was playing for Burnley.
The only other players I've seen do that are Van Aanholt when he was at Sunderland & annoyingly, Dunne for Millwall when we played at their place one evening. |

Another one to thank Pochettino for.

He's going to have to keep on top of his game as the young lad from Liverpool(cant think of his name) currently understudy at the WC looks a real find and will put Trippier under severe pressure for sure, but bodes well for England.

Alexander Arnold? Trippier is much better imo.

Trippier has been our best player so far - no doubt.
However, perhaps it is just my Red 'n' Blue specs but I have high hopes for AWB. Already an England U-20 player. If he continues to progress, he could find himself under consideration for the England team in the next few years. Of course if he was at Liverpool, Man U etc he'd already be in contention.... |

Very good player but he's got a head you could punch, and he's a SPUD.

I always liked him at Burnley and great to see him doing so well for England. Shame he plays for Spurs, but he has been consistently excellent for England this World Cup as have Maguire, Stones and Kane.
I have to admit Henderson too has been pretty impressive. Still don't like him though.

Dare I use the words world class but he's certainly up there with the other contenders from this tournament.
Certainly when you compare him to Kimmench I'm not sure there's a lot in it. Of course could just be the fact he's playing in a system designed to give him more license to roam and get time on the ball. |

I agree. In fact, he looked completely lost at times against Belgium. I personally think he's way too inexperienced to be in the World Cup squad. he may well come good but I think he's one for the future not right now.
