Second bottom of Premier 'Green' League

Some.of it relates to difficulty introducing new technology into a crumbling old stadium (e.g. solar on stand roofs), other is just lack of interest (e.g. waste reduction, recycling, energy management). We should at least do OK on transport as so many come to stadium by public transport.

What's the environmental impact on building new stadia? We must score highly on the renewable use of old stands?

Exactly, we've recycled our stands for 50 years, and made them stands that look 50 years old again.

arsenal and Manchester City are sponsored by airlines, but, by the look of things, that, along with many other factors, seems to be too complicated for this ‘research’.

Man City are essentially owned by a country, and one of the highest per capita greenhouse gas emitters at that.

Man city's entire squad was bought with oil money and they are second.

Joking aside, pretty embarrassing we dont eve have recycling bins in the ground. Saw this at chelsea and arsenal.

Seeing as the price of a pint went from £4 to £5.50 over the summer I dont think they have any excuse for not proving beers in a full recyclable cup.

Agreed. Iím not entirely sure what this Ďreportí is all about.
Given that the playing and watching of football are non essential activities, the greenest club would be the one who has shut themself down, but, i canít see that happening.

Do you genuinely think that the stuff in the recycling bins at Chelsea was all fine for recycling? I work in an office of a (so called) blue chip company, but often see poor behaviours around use of the correct bin. I can only think that recycling bins at football grounds, stations, streets etc are just a waste of time, sadly.

Reduce the queues for the toilets by allowing patrons to piss on the pitch. Two birds, one stone.

And the solution to the non-recyclable drinking receptacles is a 'bring your own glass' scheme.

Finally, if we can find some way to harness the significant fart power emanating from the AW concourse then we should be able to generate sufficient energy to run the floodlights.
