Son of Valderrama at no.6 for them. Our keeper made some great saves.

Matt , report it as you see it. Ask the questions and you will maintain the trust of the BBS.
No speculation just good reporting, it's what you do. |

Little lad wasn't he, could hardly reach the cross bar. Great potential though. |

Luke Dreher looks to be doing very well in the 21s, not long turned 17. Was the best player on the pitch for them the other day and looked comfortable, managed to get two assists.
Is playing up and has not gone away with the 18s to India so firmly an U21 player for good now. Ahead of Michael Phillips who is a year older in a similar CM position. Have always liked the look of Dreher since he won a penalty on his U18s home debut at 15, but he's really kicked on offensively after moving to the 21s. Defensively needs work but he is still young and has time, so I'm sure that will come.

Ben Watson and Zaha at 17, Routledge at 16. Yes we were in a lower division, but I look forward to the next talent that has a debut at that young age, would mean they would be very special indeed to get selected. Hopefully we start attracting better young players.

I'm not suggesting he should be in the first team at all, btw, just an update on him as he looks to be doing well.
It's *only* the U21s, and as I said, needs to work on the defensive side of his game, far too early to make any predictions but he's progressing nicely and developing well. Also needs to develop physically as if you were to play him in a first team right now he'd be dominated simply by anyone remotely physical.

18 months ago, Phillips seemed to be the rising star. Tough job trying to sort out the potential of these young lads, developing in fits and spurts, where a wrong decision could cost the club £Ms. |

You can apply to step up a category at any time, but the change (if you pass the audit - Ipswich missed Cat 1 by 0.3% last year) comes into effect as of the following season.
