A great feeling at the ground on Sunday and excellent to see that close bond between players and fans. You just don't get that stuff at most other clubs in this country

Great sense of togetherness at the club. Sunshine, kids on the pitch, legends departing, and an academy debut. Felt special.

We are in a good place and the club is in safe hands.

It was a credit to the other players that they hung around.
Agree with this. Most of the Holmesdale and holmesdale end of the main stand had to wait yet again for the players to get past the HF. The HF can do their presentations after the lap of honour. Should be easy to organise as they appear to be Steve parishes best buddies.

If you are going to get your photo’s taken with players you supposedly revere why would you then stand there looking like a police mug shot or non-smile passport photo? Makes no sense to me or maybe they did need a new passport photo and took the opportunity.

The players stood and watched the HF and the presentations. Nobody made them stay there, they were quite able to walk on by! Not sure how the HF 'blocked' them, an extra 5 minutes? And as others have said they actually started at the main stand?

Exactly. Maybe, just maybe, the players appreciate the support they get from the hf and this corner of the ground. The players clearly know and have a bond with some of the leading figures of the hf, and it was an emotional farewell, with gifts, fond words and hugs.

So not only their chants have to meet the approval of some on here, how they pose in photos also now has to be approved?

The photos are all in the public domain; people can comment on them if they feel like it

You're so right, some on here would simply rather the players stop and stand in front of a block of 400 silent fans all sat on their hands as they gaze wistfully out at what the believe is the best view in Selhurst Park.

Absolutely. But it makes the anti hf crew flaccid to realise that the hf have some relevance to the team and other fans.

it only seems to be a couple of players though. most the players just stood around playing with their kids and chatting rather than showing an outpouring of gratitude to the HF. Ward seemed to be this years fan boy, fair enough, he's awesome, but that looked pre arranged also. I think most the players stayed in that corner as it was Speroni's moment

I felt a bit shit for Ward after the last game last season, especially as I thought he was off too. He hobbled about on crutches & almost appeared surplus to requirements. I was glad he got some love on Sunday. He's been a great signing and deserved it.
