His job title is Director, Football Board.

[I felt dirty looking that up.]

Steve Coppell became Director of Football a couple of seasons after leaving in 93' following the "Oldham" relegation then moving back to manager to win the play off's in 97'
Arthur Rowe took on the Juniors and Schoolboys, the 'Academy' in those days. He phoned personally to invite me to Schoolboy training. A really nice bloke. Bit like Roy.

Hmm okay, does that mean he has anything to do with the running of the club or the team?

Neither of them would have kept us up for the time Roy has. How well have the two of them done since leaving us? Roy is a gentleman who has never had a rumour around skimming money off of transfer fees. Sadly whoever comes in cannot be forced to keep backroom staff if they work well with certain people, although I hope Paddy gets to keep his U18 role

Not sure either of them would have taken the job though. We had to offer Pulis the Crown Jewels last time and he didnít stick around for another year did he. Same with Sam.

Thereís no doubt that Allardyce would have kept this squad up in my mind. And for this length of time. Heís an excellent manager. Heís managed to get a terrible side in WBA to perform much better so I donít see why he couldnít have kept us up. He already did it once.

Taken them down though in a season and he didnít hang around with us despite being financially backed. Donít think anyone will take the risk again. Worse team performance ever at Selhurst was under him and I always enjoyed doing his West Ham

He shouldnít have taken the wba job. Dreadful team that were never staying up. Amazed he did it.
