A year ago Victor would have cost us mega bucks and we would have stood no chance of signing him - But with his downturn in form and fortunes its an opportunity to pick up a bargain - Granted he will need lifting but I am not sure Pulis will be keen as to be be fair to Victor he will never be the hardest working player. Sad to see him last night as we all now he is an incredible talent. Personally I would be in dreamland if we sign him.

Imagine how good we'd have been with Calvin in defence!

Was very disappointed in Victor yesterday. He was running down blind alleys, into players and didn't look on it at all. Saying that neither did the Nigerian team who were the most unorganised, uninterested, clueless rabble I've seen for many a year.

So was it Moses performance or is there something wrong inside the Nigerian camp. I've a hunch it may be the later so let's not write Victor off just yet.

He did look poor last night. But then so did the rest of Nigeria.

They've got some great players. Something up with that team for sure ...

I agree that being back at Palace with a bouyant squad and an inspirational manager could be the shot in the arm both these players need.

However we must take care not to let emotions sway sensible decisions.

We cannot afford to carry players, not one player who are not motivated or who have lost their passion for the game. We do not have money to burn and more importantly we cannot afford any player to have a negative effect on the squad.

It would be gamble to bring in either Wilf or Vic Mo', both maybe a stretch too far.

There has to be a long hard think about the benefits and negatives of signing one or both players (assuming their current clubs are happy to let them move on) I think we all have confidence that the manager and owners will make the right decisions

If Wilf came back he will have a great deal to prove and I would hope that this would be incentive enough for him.

Viv Mo' has showed his potential at Premier league level. He has a good level of experience and as long as he could regain his best form and attitude he to would be a good addition to the squad.
Kinda my thoughts on these two, Percy.

Moses has had several managers and chances recently, but he hasn't clicked into gear in those teams and fulfilled his previous promise. There comes a time when you have to take responsibility for your own performances and it's hard to excuse playing rather half-heartedly. He must be on a significant salary and I'm not sure we should gamble on him now.....I also suspect that Pulis is pretty ruthless and might not fancy a player whose attitude looks suspect at the moment. Moses would probably have to demonstrate a lot of desire to come to Palace in order to convince a disciplinarian like Pulis, which I don't think Moses would do.

Wilf might be getting a similar rep, but I think there's more chance that Pulis will feel he's had a bad deal at Man Utd and that he's a great young prospect who has plenty of time to improve again.

My guess is that Wilf will have pre season at Man U and try to impress the new manager....whereas he would have been sold if Moyes was still there. He won't be available until he gets an indication that he's out the first team squad (if indeed he is) which presumably won't be clear for the next couple of months.

Victor no thanks at the moment unless its the fact of him being a small fish in a big pond maybe he's better when based at small clubs like ours with little pressure but he was toilet as were the other 23 players last night.
And his wages.

Victor never wanted to leave Palace and his transfer to Wigan went a long way to saving the club as we were in dire financial trouble.

Palace should push the boat out to bring back a player who should really be an England player rather than playing for Nigeria, especially as he was an established England Youth International and was being tipped for great things before he left Palace.

Moses has a natural ability and could definitely do a job for Palace and boost our attacking options as he can play in a number of roles from winger to striker.

What a dream it would be if we could get Moses and Zaha playing in the same Palace team.

Whilst Victor Moses was at Palace he won the Golden Boot Award for being the top scorer at the U17 European Championships and the only other England player to win that award was Michael Owen.

He also was England's top scorer at the Youth World Cup Finals Tournament.

England's management made a big mistake when they allowed him to play for Nigeria instead of England at Full International Level.

Teams like Chelsea and Liverpool do not sign players on a whim and they have felt that he is good enough to play for them which says a lot about what he can offer.

Any players looks poor if he's rusty and unconfident, we've seen plenty of examples at Selhurst over the years. The whole '25 man squad' idea isn't helping either. I'd agree with you, but would prefer Zaha as i think he tracks back better. But would be over the moon with Vic or Wilf.

I agree; it was sad to see him struggle, but it's not that unusual any more to see players reach a pinnacle and then go into decline. As you rightly said, Victor isn't the hardest working player and for that reason alone, I don't see Tony Pulis wanting to splash a few million on him.
