Good point GG. I think it's also rare to have three riders score so many points and then the 4th so far behind!
You often have 6-pointers who score a fair number of points. As for the 4-pointers (if you have to pick one or two depending on team selection), the best deal is to go for GC leaders' team-mates who will always bring you "assist" points!

You mean 2024, the year the Olympics are held in Paris, not next year.
From a security point of view the police won't be able to handle the TDF and the Olympics at the same time.
There's talk of Nice, so why not an ITT finishing at the top of the Col d'Eze?

Very true, especially choosing the team mates of the likely GC leaders.

This year watching the Dauphiné helped in seeing the potential of Benjamin Thomas despite riding for Cofidis and he was a no-brainer for my team. Only 400 metres short of a stage win in the area of his home town which would have made it an even bigger points tally.

(Another upside was switching from Roglic to Vingegaard.)

Ah that would make more sense. Can picture a ITT down the Prom. des Anglais.

Was only following the Guardian live stream on Sunday, they said in one update at half 5 or so 'next year'!

Just discovered our eldest's boyfriend is doing the l'Alp d'Huez triathlon tomorrow, which includes a ride up the 21-bends to the top.
I'll keep an eye on his time - he's the only Welsh competitor listed for the M race - but I don't think it will be anywhere near the TdF time.
