If the Americans own 67.5% of the club that means Parish isn't equal partner with them and not an equal 1/3 partner either. He can only have a maximum of 32.5%.

Does that mean he is 'advised' what to do by the Americans?
The way it is structured they (Parish, Harris and Blitzer) have to all agree on major decisions.

The ugly world of global capitalism, no loyalty or sentiment for the club just seen as a financial asset and when this proves not to be the case GeT rid. What a horrible world we live in.

I fail to understand why some posters still think that the owners are going to start asset stripping the club. When the Americans originally came on board there were suggestions that they were going to asset strip the club by selling all our best players and pocketing the cash. Now to achieve a sale they will do the same thing.

Sorry but a complete nonsense.

From Wikipedia:

Quote:
Later company accounts showed that the ownership figures were: Steve Parish 18%, Steve Browett 5%, Jeremy Hosking 5% and Martin Long 2.5% with the remainder being owned by Palace Holdco LP (a limited partnership registered in Delaware) 67.5% and Palace Parallel LLC (a company also registered in Delaware) 1.5%. Both Palace Holdco and Palace Parallel have 180 preference shares each. As the Delaware companies do not have to reveal their owners the exact ownership of the club is therefore unknown but Steve Parish confirmed that each of Harris and Blitzer had an 18% share to match his own.

No. See this old post by Parish.

If there is any truth in this, this will be when they discover how difficult it is to achieve 'fair-value' for a Prem football club (let alone a Champs club), in the middle of Brexit, when the usual suspects (US sports magnates, oil states, far-Eastern money and Russian oligarchs), have all lost interest.

Every club is a selling club. Event clubs the size of Liverpool still have their best players poached (Coutinho, Suarez etc)

Done their 4 years and want to deploy their cash elsewhere. I’d be pulling my money out also.
We haven’t progressed as a team, the stadium is irrelevant unless you’re willing to stay in for 6-10 years. They were never going to do that. Decent cash flow from the the tv money have made some cash and want out.

We won’t be short a few takers.

Surely they will only make money if their holding has gone up in value. Have they had any other payment?

The value of the club would have gone up significantly over their investment period. Also the inter company loans will be pik’ing up nicely for them well ahead of most investments.

Finding our next stage is going to cost a lot of money, it’s the right time to get out for them. Well until the league starts streaming every game.

All depends on when they find a buyer for their shares. Randy Lerner the owner of Aston Villa put the club on the market for £200m just after losing in the FA Cup Final in 2014. Two years later and sitting in the Championship he sold it for £76m.

That's not a realistic comparison at all. Liverpool's financial position is light years away from us. They found it a lot easier to replace those players, simply because of their own financial strength.

If we sell Wilf for say £50-60m we will likely find it very difficult to find that standard of player, as we can't just buy another PL club's best players like Liverpool can. Also the quality players we do have don't want to be in a relegation struggle every season, Sakho has already been making these noises.

They will not make a huge profit on their shares. Palace are in the same spot now as when they came in, and I wouldn't be surprised if they want out because they realised that the English game is rigged so that the richest and biggest will win every year with little or no chance for anyone else having a go.

At least, in American sports trying to achieve parity is a goal for most leagues. In England, and the rest of Europe, it is not.
