They haven't expelled any of the hundreds of others who've admitted openly to voting for other parties.

That's as may be but this discussion has been had on another thread, the rights and wrongs of Campbell's expulsion can be debated forever because, but this thread is querying why he's so frequently in the public eye on TV etc.

I only brought this up to correct Adlerhorst's inaccurate, unfounded claim.

I guess there are several answers to the OP's question, including that he is very good at making everything about himself.

'it would be boring if they won every time right?'

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die, to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end

He must have strong ties to the media, or at least to the BBC.

It seems to me that people in places of influence are happy to help Campbell stay in the public eye.

I think it's pretty clear that they were looking for an excuse to get rid of Campbell, and he have it too them.

I don't have a problem with that. The man was instrumental in degrading political discourse in this country to spin and selling deceit.

Is it hypocritical, probably, but then who isn't?

I liked his comment that if you couldn't write your election manifesto on the back of a business card, in legible writing, it was lost on the British public.

What war crime are you suggesting Campbell could be charged with, much less one with a realistic chance of conviction? If you've got the section of Chilcot that supports your case, all the better.

In which case the answer is because there's no realistic chance of a conviction.

Because he didn't have anything to do with making up the story or because they wouldn't be able to find any evidence he did?

You need something called evidence to convict someone else of a crime.

This is the UK 2019. Evidence doesn't come into it.

Get with the programme Grandad.

Maybe not for conspiracy theorists but rational thinkers prefer an evidence as opposed to faith based approach.

I remember Campbell when he was political editor of Today, the long since defunct daily..

IIRC they backed Major in 92, but were in the John Smith camp when old Rupey shut them down and urged us to buy the current bun instead..

An awful lot of time has passed since then, spin doctory, thunder*****ry, war, tv programmes and depression.

Of course he was banned, but it appears rather mealy mouthed by the Labour hierachy, an own goal befitting the Today league (as it was once called). For that, on this occasion, he has my sympathy
