I know we're not a charity, but given the current plight, it would be good form to offer Henderson another 12 months.

Only senior pro without a deal for next year.

Never seen him play but Aaron Hickey should be snapped up if he’s as good as Hearts fans say. Been heavily linked and their confirmed relegation today is something we should take advantage of before someone else does.

Definitely need youth and an already established LB at 17 years old fits the bill.

Same reason someone is going to snap Sangare up for a knock down fee, last 12m and Toulouse have been relegated.

Think they have all had threads or their names mentioned on these pages over the years and all are entering the final 12 months of their current deals.

Henderson and Dann end this summer, PVA, Sakho, McArthur, Benteke, Townsend, Schluup, Meyer, Cahill, Guaita, Ward, Kelly and Hennessey all entering their final 12 months.
Great suggestions Gonzo, think every player would be useful at the very least. Likes of Castagne, Sisto, Eze, Sangare, Batshauyi, maybe Eric Dier all potentially excellent signings.

Tbh if Newcastle do come in with a big bid for Zaha now would be the optimum time to sell. Certainly we’d get a lot more bang for our buck in terms of reinvesting compared to last summer.

Of course this does all rather depend on if football can be restarted

We really need to get a young prospect in as third keeper as Henderson will not have got any better and was never prem quality. It could easily happen that we need a third choice to step up. Dann was regularly Mentioned as being out of contract so would be good if he is extended. One place we do not need cover unless we sell Sakho. No one mentioning Burnley Stories?

OK then. Mirror says we're after after O'Neil and Tarkowski and then Dyche to replace Roy.
First one makes sense, se ond one rubbish - they obviously haven't noticed we've got five capable CBs already. Not sure about Dyche.

Henderson signed for another 12 months last week apparently (interview with a Portsmouth paper). O’Neill makes sense if we are to progress and become better, and by that not a replacement for Wilf but for Andros whose form and injuries do not assure a starting spot. Tarkowski only makes sense if Mama goes. Cannot afford him and Max at £100,000 plus each wages. Some stories that seemed strange have come true and Dyche has been linked for some time. Roy would be an ideal DOF if we didn’t have one.

Maybe. It will be a buyers market with the loss of income for so many clubs. I think the price for players might drop as a result of Covid-19.

Yep henderson confirmed a new one year deal signed last week in an interview with portsmouth news today

So with Dann also signed, is that no out of contract players for us?

I thought Dougie sort of filled this role.

Right back, centre back, winger and striker all from championship or lower. All younger than 23.

I'm pleased that we've looked after Henderson, it certainly gives him a bit of stability, again I know we're not a charity, but free'ing somebody amid all this uncertainty sounds like a bit of a rum do.

Yes I think all the senior pros know have at least another 12 months

Your opinions?
We'd be daft to sell PVA, we've shown we can't replace full backs,

We’ve got to get a striker in at all costs, along with another winger.
