I heard Ozil is contracted to be the highest paid player at the Arse on £350k p/w, (who the f*cking hell negotiated that one!)

So Aubameyang is probably on £349,999 p/w with a shitload of add-ons and bonuses.

If Spurs get Bale via some sort of arrangement with Real Madrid they will have probably got a better deal.

Above average English defenders have gone for 50 million in the last 3 years. And quite a few of them. AWB was criticised for not having enough going forward. And the likes of Maguire and a few other really heavily priced defenders are oft criticised on here.

In that context, how as Zaha not worth 70 million when he was the best player not playing for a top 6 side. Why should Leicester get the money for this player or that player, and even Palace get 45 million + for AWB, and then we have to settle for 30m to 40m or whatever Arsenal or Everton wanted to pay. Feck right off...Arsenal had the cash and spent the same on an untried in the Premier french starlet. Everton didn't have the cash.

I don't have the cash to buy an Aston Martin, but that doesn't mean the owner should lower his price to accommodate my bank balance.

Is that the same Bale who preferred to play golf rather than travel with the team recently?

Supposing the Aston always wanted to be owned by Peter H? It’s value should surely be lowered accordingly?

£600k per week to go and play golf at home or go and travel to a match when you know you're completely ostracized by the manager so you're only ever going to be a spectator.

What would you do?

Maybe if they wait 5 years or so we will sell them an old bashed up version on the cheap

Probably what I was contracted to do as part of my £600k/w agreement.

(Although to be fair, it sounds like he had the option from Zidane to not travel)

I wonder if we would accept installments from arsenal this time around?

They pay 20m now then 2 x 15m over the next 2-3 years.

There will need to be some smoke and mirrors to get this done. 50m in cash in the next few weeks won't happen.

Whilst certain structures might be paid over a few years, there are plenty of finance instruments that can effectively now give you the money upfront for a fee. Itís not perfect but theyíll work.

Is this assuming some dystopian scenario where Aston Martins become conscious and choose who they want to be their human servants?

What would you do?
Bale looks like a great signing for them on paper but I think he's a huge risk. 31, hasn't played since God was in shorts, had issues with the management at Real Madrid (although everyone seems to be blaming their Board, you don't know for sure) and will suck money out of their bank account like nobody else except Neymar. Could go horribly wrong.

Mind you personally I would rather watch football than play golf - actually I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than play golf

Would love it to go horribly wrong and end up in a fist fight between him and Kane over who is the big bollox
