He is not better than Tomkins. He may never have been...even witt both full fit and games under their belts..
Tomkins is not prone to those brain farts. It is the Mitchell/PVA argument all over again. You want a defender to reliably defend first and foremost at a team like Palace. You keep a clean sheet..and with the Zahas you can take the points. Luxury defenders can play for Liverpool et al.

I hope not. Apart from the many mistakes, Sakho doesn't communicate well, he is not a leader, and cannot time a jump. As a result he never wins the important headers and is thus unable to properly command the 18 yard area. Last choice centre back for me

I really like Sakho but I do not understand the erratic decisions he makes. Sometimes it's just to show off. He would easily be our best centre back if he removed that from his game |

No point in any debate about his talent. He only gives you 3 games a season so get rid, end of

More likely to help relegate the weeds actually - not a bad idea.

He'll play at Wolves merely to stop more important players risking injury.

Very true, unfortunately Sakho will always be a luxury defender in a Palace setup as you rightly point out. If we could afford the luxury of playing a "Back Three" system then the ideal line up to see the best of these players would be......Tomkins.....Cahill....Sakho... but the downside to that would be a lack of pace which could be costly to consider now due to injuries and age having taken it's toll. |

Too many injuries have taken their toll now sadly, needs a move back to France
I can’t see him being the slightest bit interested in a move to West Brom, watching highlights yesterday he’ll be chasing shadows in the freezing snow I doubt he’ll be in any rush to sign that deal

He can be an excellent defender but far too injury prone and wages of two players show he was a poor signing, ideal for BFS and whatever dodgy dealings go on with high cost signings

This is very true because of TV deal debacle, which also means that none of them (apart from PSG) would be able to give him a hefty signing on fee. I reckon he’ll be off to the Middle East.

Agreed. He and his family certainly seem to like the Middle East on his Instagram

Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko
WEST BROM. Keen on Sakho at Crystal Palace. Loan or paid up/free. Allardyce had him at Palace.

If you want an injury prone player off the books, you don't play him.

Yeah if there is a realistic chance of getting rid in January we should not play him in the cup in case he gets injured.

I don’t see why the latter would be appealing to us.
