Yeah I don't think people realise how big our wage bill is. It's pretty much the key reason we are not spending in transfer windows. I think we are still in the top 10 in the league.

True. Every time a high player wage is posted on the BBS, there’s two-three posts saying how that wage is nonsense. Yet the club has released public numbers showing the high amount of total wages they spend.

It’s the difference between basic wage and wage + the tonnes of bonuses that come with a free transfer that’s the constant point of contention.

Meyer’s basic wage is about 80k, according to reputable sources for football like the Guardian. Add in all the bonuses and it’s somewhere between 100 and 200.

Nice player. Decent short passer but hasn't shown himself in limited showings to be the type to unlock EPL defences. If there was a notion he was the next Cabaye, the scouting was very wrong as they're nothing alike (height aside). Cabaye was not a physical presence but had that nasty s*** element that meant him, his skills and his ability to fight his corner would have succeeded in just about any era. I don't want to blame Roy for Max's lack of success as since we signed Eze I don't think I would find a space for Max in the squad and on that salary, there's no option other than to let him leave. Good for him and us
