Clearly assault, protesters are getting more entitled these days and that's going to be a problem down the line but he should have told her to **** off and/or held out his arms to put distance between them, shoving her into a wall crossed a massive line.

So if a fascist woman broke in to protest at a Momentum meeting and made a move towards say, Jeremy Corbyn how do you think Momentum mps should react.

I find it strange that in this day and age security around an event like this with senior politicians is so lax that protesters can get in and do this ,same goes for Corbyn when he was attacked and same for Farage, especially when a nutter did get through with Jo Cox.

Obviously the politicien jumped up and did what security should have done, he should have never been put in this position in the first place wrongly or rightly.

I don't care if he was a Tory or a Labour politician.

Perhaps the woman will speak of her regret and guilt of being where she shouldn’t and causing this whole mess in first place. If she had not illegally entered this dinner she would not have been removed I don’t get how anyone thinks it was ok for her to be there.

She is responsible for trespassing and coming to a place with the object of disrupting a meeting where she had no legal right to be.

Security is responsible for the above although for them all to get in I assume they must have had someone involved in the event who helped them.

Mark field did nothing wrong nothing at all, what part of his force do you think was disproportionate? There have been quotes on here saying he grabbed her throat, he did not! He has been described as having a “vice like grip” he did not! The fact she was not male is irrelevant, the fact no one else stood up is irrelevant.

I know nothing about the bloke I have no axe to grind over anything other than what I could see in the video and unlike many I have done door work he did not use any level of force beyond what was necessary.

So many people saying if it was a man it wouldn't have been an issue.

It wouldn't have been an issue because Mark Field would not have done it if it was a man. Unless it was someone he could easily manhandle and then its still assault. Its a guy with clear anger issues who shouldn't be in parliament if he reacts that way to a peaceful protest.
absolute nonsense!!

That's just political bias in the Media. The Sun/Daily Fail wanted Jo Brand jailed for her 'comments' and the bloke who threw milk at Farage, publicly flogged. I don't suppose they're be too hard on this Field guy and fair enough, TBH.

No.

Because he's the sort of bloke who pushes a woman around and grabs her by the neck after he's had a few.

And then try's to justify it by saying she might have been a terrorist.

Yep. It was entirely reasonable to assume the liberal middle England female in the gown had a gun.

I suspect plenty of men who have laid their hands on a woman have used similarly hilarious excuses to justify their behaviour.

If she had not been where she should not have been do you think he would have grabbed her ?

Do you think if when he put his arm out to stop her if she had gone back he would have continued ?

Do you think when he gave her a little shove in the direction that she had come and she had just walked off he would have escorted her out ?

Maybe you think it acceptable for anyone who feels like it to intern and disturb whatever meeting they please if they have some disagreement with the people that are there, well it isn’t.

She put herself at risks and knew there were likely to be consequences in this day an age storming in to a meeting containing senior politicians is a huge risk it’s daft and irresponsible.

What part of fields reaction fails to fall in with the above ?

Would it have been good if her had put her in a wrist lock ? generally that is seen by the police and stewards proportionate and reasonable yet if you don’t know what you are doing easy to do more damage

Vigorously I hope, bearing in mind what Joe Cox suffered at the hands of a Facist.
How many M.P.s have been butchered by climate change activists?

Interesting (but unsurprising) that you try and draw an equivalency between Facists and environmentalists.
