I think there's a lot to be said for this type of short term appointment in these circumstances. We've seen it work with other clubs - eg Shakespeare at Leicester. The issue can be whether to give them it long term if the short term appointment goes well (see also Kember, S) but at this stage that would be a nice problem to have.

Yes. Almost identical to Shearer when Campbell had his goal disallowed for England in the other Stadium of Light the same year.
