What can we actually do about this? The box office have been a disgrace all season in terms of not sending out tickets, messing up ticket sales releases, taking the wrong allocations, not replying to emails or calling back and just generally being far less competent than they've been for many years.

you would think they would post norwich and brentford tickets this week and do any late bookings next week but you know we will all be panicing the day before then collecting at away grounds which is massively inconvenient

In a meeting between the club and the CP Supporters Trust on 6th October:
"The Club indicated that from now on there should be lead in times similar to previous seasons to allow fans to plan and preventing the problems identified." (problems identified being the late sale of away tickets, and the late posting of away tickets) Has anything changed? Admittedly at the start of the season it was acutely bad, we heard nothing about Liverpool away tickets until 10 days before the game. We're now getting ticket sales 2-3 weeks before Personally I find that the posting out of away tickets is still too close to the wire for comfort

We are told we have brentford tickets- we are told its sold out. so why not send tickets out today? If norwich has most tickets sold, post that large batch. Its called looking after your best customers. The cost savings of doing the job all in one go perilously close to the game are very small indeed.

Agreed, it needs to be someone or multiple people's job today and tomorrow to get these tickets sent out in the post.

It can't be there short of staff why they can't get tickets in envelopes if you go to box office on a normal day not when away tickets are going on sale like Monday Tuesday this week it's very quite . Your see maybe 3 staff sitting there chatting to each other 2 could go out back and do the envelopes when it's quite .nowadays let's say a average home game a big chunk have got st the away club sell theres that leaves box office to sell maybe 5 thousand many of them would be online .

Before Covid arrived I can remember going to the box office to buy away tickets if they had them I could get them then.
Now it seems that has changed as I went to box office Monday to book Norwich and brentford they had the tickets but wouldn't give them out you either had them posted at a cost of £1-50 postage or collected them from box office when available. I was also told by Paul McGowan that all tickets post |

Same with me would pay and get tickets there and then must have been easier for them remember them thumbing threw a stack of tickets till they got to a row I wanted most times .i would be amazed if the tickets are not in safe a at box office Brentford were selling tickets from 6th Jan going back we use to sell away tickets 4 or 5 weeks before game maybe covid has made them change that ?

They know they have a loyal customer base, who will come back no matter what. To that end, they have very little incentive to invest in improvements. Not defending the service at all, but that's the context sadly.

Just got the last block G ticket for Norwich but the box office online systems are not correctly putting the payment to your bank ...... ripped up the bank wrongly ... phoned the club and got the ticket from a lovely helpful lady but she did say it's been a problem today!
Think the club needs to spend some cash on IT to back up the staff....

I posted this on another thread but was told:
"Apparently they decided not to press the online button because they already had a queue of people outside the Box Office with 8,000 points. I guess there would have been 'pandemonium' of sorts if those 'live' queueing for what ever reason couldnt get their tickets. They were done and dusted in twenty mins and the online button was activated. Seems reasonable to me." |

What about people (who aren't on the BBS) who tried for 10 minutes and gave up at 10.10am when the system said sold out? And the phone lines had a virtual queue of 60 people?
I do get that lots of people were going to miss out and be disappointed however it went, but the radio silence over effectively turning off online ticket purchasing until 10.15am is far from a satisfactory way to manage things. They could have counted how many tickets were required by people in the actual queue at Selhurst at 10am, taken that many off sale, put an info screen online saying that the online sale would start at 10.15 (or 10.30) and that way kept everyone informed.

Have emailed Paul McGowan this morning regarding not taking a larger allocation of Norwich tickets we could have taken another block and if sold at least half of that wouldn't have had to pay for tickets not sold waiting for reply.
