Cancel the above comment. Gave up on it which is very rare for me. Half way through and more like a dreary Mills and Boone. And no Pete I haven't read any

Moved on to Something Nasty in the Woodshed Kyril Bonfiglioli. Third in the Mordechi series. Much better

Reread Norwegian Wood over the week-end how many years later. Still a great book.

The Marseilles Caper, by Peter Mayle - nothing too taxing and an enjoyable read.

I'm enjoying The Adulterants by Joe Dunthorne. Making me laugh a lot - in a good way.

Guide for the Stephen King fans: probably not for you, as there's not much plot; but I reckon the top 25% of you ought to be able to make it through to the end.

Just finished the Patterson book. Very enjoyable.

I've now decided to give It a go.

The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window and Disappeared - Jonas Jonasson.

I originally thought this would be about CK, but no. Very funny story, totally daft. Will now dig out more Jonasson.

Just read Kings of the Wyld & Bloody Rose (Nicholas Eames) both fun reads with sequel better than opener. Also The Lincoln Lawyer - my first Michael Connolly and I'll be reading all his others on this form! Just got volume 2 of Conan Chronicles Epic (Graphic Novel) by Kurt Busiek - the first was terrific. Also half way through The Magician's Guild by Trudi Canavan which is probably good enough to finish but proving a bit of a chore if I'm honest.

This is an offshoot of the Harry Bosch series which is some 20 books strong and I've just started the 19th (The Wrong Side of Goodbye) having read the other 18. I'm going to miss reading them when I've done the set, so will have to start on the "Lincoln Lawyer" series.

Harry Bosch is a bit of an arsehole and bends all the rules, which can be a bit annoying, but as I've said before, I personally like the books as they are set in Los Angeles, and take in the local feel and geography which is kind of fun for me at least. The character Bosch has now retired from the LAPD and is doing private investigation work, which is why it links with the Lincoln Lawyer books (They are half brothers I think, and work together in the later books).

Nearly finished it and now I want to read a book that charts the process from today to Orwell's tomorrow. Has this been written?

I think you'd probably enjoy Ballard, if you haven't read his stuff yet.

I have it on my Kindle, and keep picking at it, but really struggle to get into it and move on to something else.

I know I should make more of an effort, but at the same time, it just is not my cup of tea.

What's your opinion now you've nearly finished it?
