Your first manager? Where was that? He was out local shopping centres manager as well so you must have grown up around Maidstone at a guess?

He was also manager of the local centre in Redhill, i think that was before Maidstone.

He did a lot for local teams before he hit the supposed big time

RIP. Was in the same society (Redhill) as Paul when I spent a few years as a referee in the 1990s.
